  • Death Phobia, Yin & Yang, & How to Flow with Nature

Leah Guy and Matthew Branham, MAcOM, LAc, discuss powerful topics based on finding the harmony within our lives, living in harmony with the breath, and overcoming the fear of death.

Yin & Yang, breathing with nature, finding acceptance and flowing with the expansion and contraction and not forcing through or disrupting are part of this conversation.

The breath dynamic happens every day, every season, with every breath, and as with Yin & Yang, the human body also functions seasonally, and part of our conversation is about how death has come to be perceived as a loss, a fear, and a negative occurrence. Perhaps nature has a different intention.

To find out more about Matthew, visit his website. Matthew received his Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine (M.Ac.O.M) from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine where he was clinically trained in acupuncture modalities from mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, and even France. Matthew’s Chinese herbal medicine training is broad and includes both classical and modern approaches. He is licensed as an acupuncturist and herbalist in the State of New Jersey and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

In addition to his acupuncture expertise Matthew has been a massage therapist specializing in Asian Bodywork therapy for over ten years. Matthew’s passion is in facilitating patient’s journey of healing on a holistic level. Recognizing and honoring that while we appear as separate individuals, in truth we are all deeply connected. Likewise, our mind, emotions, and body are not separate. Disease and pain are often more obvious symptoms of an underlying imbalance.

  • Self-Abandonment; Notes on Healing

Self-abandonment is a form of sabotage that many of us have learned as a means of "survival" in our relationships. Once formed, it often becomes a negative pattern in our daily lives.

Self-abandonment is a learned behavior, which means we can unlearn the behavior.

We abandon what we want or need.
We lie to ourselves and others about who we are and what are our wants and needs.
    We hide.
    We people please.
We ignore our hunches, intuition, or inner guidance.
We criticize and judge our most vulnerable parts.
We become perfectionists to avoid ever satisfying or achieving success.
We run from our dreams, change courses to avoid success or positive results that help us feel good and purposeful.
These are some of the ways we abandon ourselves.

    What can we do?

We can learn to sit with our feelings. We can show up for ourselves. We can learn to speak our truth. We can follow the callings of our hearts and trust the process.

    Remember who you are.
Remember that you are carrying precious cargo.
You are here with a soul that is brilliant and wants to shine.

How can we change our relationship to money so that we experience more happiness and peace and less worry and shame. Ken Honda and Leah Guy talk about the mindset about money and energy of prosperity.

Happy Money should make you smile with you receive it, and when you spend it you feel can feel appreciation. Your attitude toward money is the foundation to live in wealth, both emotional and tangible.

Arigato money is the way. Find out what that means from Japan's bestselling zen millionaire Ken Honda.

Money is energy, and energy flows. We have to learn to receive money as well as let it go.

"Money is energy. It can be happy or unhappy.

When you adjust your perspective on money you can see it as positive and negative flows based on the energy you have when receiving and spending your money.

  • Sound Healing; Music that Reaches the Soul with Producer David Vito Gregoli

We've heard about sound healing with Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, and Chakra bowls, but today we are discussing the power of New Age music when listened to intentionally with producer and artist David Vito Gregoli. And you will hear here, some of Vito's soundbites from his latest work.

What is New Age music? It's a tremendously large sector of music often used in yoga classes, massage and spas, but the unique quality of New Age is that it speaks to your heart and brings you to a state of internal awareness.

This is music that doesn't tell you how to feel, but allows you to feel what you feel.

Many people think New Age is limiting to those who only practice alternative therapies or traditions, but this is a new kind of love song. World influence, chanting, ambient, flowing, dramatic and healing would be words that come to mind in describing this beautiful genre.

Vito's musical journey began in Pop, Rock and Blues. By the time he was in his teens, he was already hailed as a guitar virtuoso and working regularly in the L.A. club scene. He later studied classical music and received a Bachelors in Music from CSUN. Vito’s latest release is with 2x Grammy winner and environmentalist Ricky Kej. “Wild Monsoon” drops in June 2022. It’s a eclectic blend of World Beat and New Age.

Ricky and Vito paired last on Vito’s “Om Land” album.

Vito brings integrity and unique artistry to music that defies pigeon-holes. "I have the ability to hear something in everything I can see round the bend when someone plays me an idea. That inspires me in the job of Producer." For more of Vito's work, go here.

  • Notes on Healing - Signs

Signs, signs, everywhere signs...do this, don't do this, can't you read the sign?

Many of us seek signs from God, the Universe and beyond to help us make decisions. To guide us in our days and give clarity. But there's often so much in the way that keep us from recognizing the signs that are there for us every single day.

I'd like to share a personal story about my accident last week, and the abruptness it created in my mind and heart.

We are often given subtle and dramatic signs, sometimes that feel wonderful and encouraging, and sometimes with some of life's "medicine" to reach our soul. This medicine is often of healing, teaching, guidance and deeper work that sometimes doesn't feel so wanted.

Some of the lessons I learned from my accident and the very impactful experience:

*Be gentle with yourself and others
*Love is the power that breaks through our own and others inner demons and blockages that help us connection
    * Not just to listen, but to follow, my intuition
*Follow and heed the messages of the spirit world, animal totems, numerology and how it supports your life and reminds you of your strengths and places we need to strengthen
*Signs don't always come in the way we want or expect, but important nontheless
