Dave was leaning into social media over the weekend looking for any news on the coaching situation at LSU, when he got a FaceTime call from his granddaughter. He enjoyed the chat but is afraid that some nostalgia is gone when he noticed she lost her two front teeth recently and asked her if that is what she wanted for Christmas. 

And while Dave was trying to glean any info he could on Lane Kiffin, he came across a video podcast of Bill's brother interviewing someone about the coaching situation in Gainesvillle. 

Leaning in and visiting with old friends and family is a practice that Bill is encouraging for Advent. 

While waiting in line at a store, Carmen leaned into a conversation with a guy and learned all about him. And that's when she learned he was a rookie player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! 

Celebrity meetings happen on occasion for us being in this line of work. It happened for Bill in an elevator the first time he met Amy Grant. He met her again shortly after that and the third time they met, he was a complete stranger to her!

We're all  back in our places after the Thanksgiving holiday and are getting prepped and ready for the Christmas season. Bill shared how the shows went last week with his guest hosts. Dave told us all about his travels to see family in South Carolina and Louisiana. 

CeCe Winans kicked things off with her performance of the National Anthem before the Detroit Lions took on the Green Bay Packers. 

Dave and Carmen spent part of their time last week putting up their Christmas trees in preparation for Christmas celebrations.

With Carmen and Dave out this week, Bill turned to Candice and Haley to fill in today. And little did he know that he would quickly lose control. Once he regained control he taught the ladies about the 1700 year old Nicene Creed, they compared screen times on their phones and looked at ways to limit their times. Our kids are learning differently and there are some surprising ways that childhood entertainment and learning are changing. 

Bill usually brings the trivia to the show, but Candice and Haley turned the tables on him and he learned so much about pop culture with a game of Pop Culture Jeopardy. 

And like mother, like daughter, Haley decided to give away some of Carmen's camo hats on Instagram. 

Bill has been sharing what he is thankful for this holiday season and he explained why he is thankful for his neighbors. He also gave Candice and Haley a chance to share what they are thankful for, before asking about their plans for Thanksgiving.

It's a bit of a different week as we look towards Thanksgiving. And with the shorter week, Dave and Carmen are out this week so Bill asked a few people to help him out over the next 3 days. First up was Jayar. And he is known as someone who will sleep through anything. So he chose to sleep at the station so he wouldn't be late. Turns out, he couldn't sleep through the motion sensing light that turned on anytime he made a move on the couch. 

AI has disrupted a lot of routine things in our lives and now there is an advisory for parents to beware of the types of toys they purchase for their kids. 

Jayar's Thanksgiving plans are far from the routine celebrations he has had over the last several years. 

Bill's wife tried a slightly different recipe than what she had been doing with a Pumpkin Dump Cake. But Bill didn't want to disrupt the festivities to ask what she had done differently. 

Jayar recently moved when we moved the radio station and found out that the street he lives on becomes a "Candy Cane Lane" where everyone decorates. Although he is new, he wants to take home "Rookie of the Year" honors. 

Bill not being a sports guy, asked Jayar for a weekend football update. The update he gave was far from the normal update you would get from Carmen and Dave. 

Bill's weekend had a slight disruption when he found himself accidentally shopping. 

Sometimes, our normal routine can go through bleak times. Faith and Hope serve to disrupt that. 

The writings of C.S. Lewis have disrupted the literary and film worlds with his stories. Bill recognized his work a couple of days after what was the surprising anniversary of his passing.

Technology has helped us connect in so many ways these days. It helped Dave's granddaughter connect with him on FaceTime yesterday. It gave young Elliston a way to safely connect with friends. It has put the Bible in the hands of more than 1 Billion people! And it is now giving a space for used Ford vehicles to be sold on Amazon. And through technology, we learned that Baker Mayfield and his wife, Emily, are expecting Baby #2! 

On the other hand, maybe it is the competition that technology has brought to grocery delivery that has Kroger ending their delivery service in Florida.

Carmen switched water bottles to fix a problem with her lips. When she shared that, we learned about another way to fix the issue...anti-wrinkle straws!
