Bill is excited for a date night with his wife, but she may not have the same enthusiasm as he does, now that she knows they will be watching a documentary. The film in question is The Story Of Everything and Carmen is not buying what they are selling to the point where she and Bill get into it and Dave needs to referee! 

A man set a new swimming record but we don't think many people will be diving into the same waters to try what he did. 

Swimming is a great exercise, perhaps especially for menopausal women. But weightlifting is also important. Carmen dove into the science for us as to why both are important for longevity. 

The Queen and her court of the Plant City Strawberry Festival came into the studio to share their love of the festival,  Plant City and Jesus.

The spirit is moving in the hearts of Gen Z (at least in the United States) and we know from a friend of the show that it only takes 3-5% to change a culture. 

An important tool used by the crew of Artemis II to let them know when they could move around in a weightless atmosphere is now available to the general public. 

Carmen is feeling like she needs a scooter to move around the neighborhood after trying a few out. 

Poetry can certainly move the spirit. Especially when you find it in Scripture.

Jeremy Adams of Foundation Athletics joined us to share just how great a time the exceptional athletes known as The Chosen Ones had at The Cheerleading Worlds competition. 

A lot of people are talking about how great the sweet treat, Buc-ee's Overbites is. But is it good to eat that many calories? 

Bill brought up some great fashion trends. 

Gen Z spends a great amount of time on their phones. And while it has some bad associations, it is also a good time to turn back to analog. 

At one point, MySpace was all the rage, but Dave wondered what happened to it. And it got Carmen thinking about a Rita Springer song that felt like a throwback to the good old days. 

Have magazines gone away. As the push towards digital happens, one woman is offering up a place to go analog and read hard copies of your favorite magazines. And there's a lot of good materials out there in analog format that could use some digitizing.

A long running radio show that could be key to longevity? Bill clears that up for us to share about a radio show that offers a healthy stretching routine for many in Japan. Dave prefers a different type of music for his stretching. And Carmen wants to stretch but she's been having knee issues. 

Bill shared some comments from Ben Sasse in his recent 60 Minutes Interview as he is potentially in the final stretch of a terminal cancer diagnosis. 

Dave found a way to stretch his bacon supply and used some of it for dinner last night. 

We tried to pry it out of him, but Bill wouldn't budge on his new favorite BBQ spot. 

Austin Reed Alleman plays Nathanael on The Chosen. We sat down with him to find out more about his growing up in Louisiana and how much he has had to stretch his acting chops for this role. 

A pickle flavored lip balm? It's not as much of a stretch as you might think now that Burt's Bees has collaborated with Grillo's Pickles. 

And to maximize space in a greenhouse, a mother and daughter have developed mini watermelons that are about the size of a chicken egg. But the question still remains, why?!

We're still learning more about the assassination attempt that occurred during the White House Correspondent's Dinner on Saturday night and we're trying to figure out why there seems to be an increase in political violence. 

Carmen spent some time last night catching up on Season 3 of The Chosen and told us all about the episode she watched.

Dave's a little tired this morning as he helped lead worship with a group of high school students last night. Seeing the younger generation worshipping in such a public manner was encouraging. And we're seeing statistics that suggest young men are prioritizing religion. That said, Bill shared a word of warning that religion alone can't save young men. 

It's easy to replace worship with idols. Carmen shared a resource from Tara-Leigh Cobble and The Bible Recap to help us with identifying idols. 

One Chinese car manufacturer is hard at work with a car that has a toilet in the passenger seat. We're not sure its worth it.

Living with a disability can be hard. Working through that and having it on display is something that Carmen's mom was able to relate to with Jordan Walker Ross, who plays Little James on The Chosen and has Cerebral Palsy. 

Bill wanted to have a little fun and came up with some trivia questions that he thought would be hard to answer. But he gave Dave enough time to get the answers right!

Talk about hard, Christa Black was a former backup singer for Michael W. Smith. At one point, she questioned her faith and turned towards New Age Spirituality. She has since gotten away from that lifestyle and returned "into the arms of Jesus".

It's Marathon Monday as the Boston Marathon takes place today. But around here, it feels more like a sprint as we look at the year behind and the week ahead. 

Not a lot of people are running to the local coffee shop for their morning cup of joe, the latest study finds. 

Carmen's in for a bit of a marathon as it will be a long time until she has the desire to turn the TV on to watch sports. But she is looking for a show to possibly have a binging marathon and wanted your recommendations. 

On this Marathon Monday, Bill was reminded of the father-son team, Dick and Rick Hoyt who completed many marathons and triathlons together. 

One guy tried to play the long game in a scheme to replace Legos with pasta and return the packages for a refund. 

A marathon session of Bible reading is happening now at The Museum Of The Bible. 

Dave saw teamwork happen in an awesome way as a couple of churches came together at a local park for praise and worship. 

You won't believe who (or rather, what) now holds the record for the fastest half-marathon. 

Carmen shared a thought from CeCe Winans on Instagram about entitlement. That and a song from Bay Turner had Dave thinking about growing through hard things (like a marathon, perhaps??)
