Today on the Morning Edition, the Anchorage Assembly discussed a proposal that would impose criminal penalties for people who sleep or camp in public areas, including parks, trails and sidewalks. Many people from the community showed up at the packed meeting and spoke out about the proposal.
Also, an update on the wildfire danger across the state. Cooler temperatures may eventually bring some relief, but there is still cause for concern in many areas of Alaska.
