The City of Anchorage has reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the family of 16-year-old Easter Leafa, who was shot and killed by police days before starting school last summer. The release from the Mayor’s Office says the settlement relieves the city of all claims regarding the shooting. Leafa’s family attorney says they are working with the city to make sure no other family has to go through this.
