The Afuvai family in Anchorage is seeking answers after 24-year-old James Afuvia was shot and killed last weekend by an APD officer, who said James came at him with a knife.

The Afuvais said Wednesday that James was not a violent person: "I feel like the news has already put out his name and identified him as a man holding a knife, but he is more than that. He comes from a family that loves him."
