What We Learned:

🧠 Millions suffer from trichotillomania – Dateline claimed it affects millions of people. Barnes refused to believe that figure. ("Millions? Come on.")
🤯 It’s a compulsive disorder, not a choice – Those who suffer describe their hands moving on their own toward their hair without control.
😱 It doesn’t hurt—some say it even feels good – One caller, David, said it's almost soothing and happens most when he's watching TV or driving.
🚨 Medication helps – Serotonin reuptake inhibitors (antidepressants) have helped some control the compulsion.
🤢 Some people even eat the hair – In extreme cases, people develop hairballs in their stomachs that have to be surgically removed. (Yes, like a cat.)

📞 David – Has had trichotillomania for years but never knew it had a name until recently. Says it’s manageable but still a struggle.

Comedy legend Dom DeLuise joined The Morning X and immediately took over the studio with stories, food, and absolute chaos.

Highlights from Dom’s Visit:

🍝 Dom has a children’s book – King Bob’s New Clothes, a twist on The Emperor’s New Clothes, complete with his own recipes (because of course it does).
🚗 Jimmy used to be Dom’s limo driver – and somehow ended up eating at his house (because Dom feeds all his drivers).
🍕 Dom loves to cook but isn’t home enough – “If I’m not there, my wife eats. She doesn’t need me. We send out for stuff… like Chinese. Whatever happens, happens.”
🎭 Acting, voiceovers, and directing – Dom talked about his work on An American Tail, Oliver & Company, and his recent film Boys Will Be Boys starring Mickey Rooney and Randy Travis (yes, that’s a real sentence).
📞 Random caller Maria gushes over his movie Fatso – and Dom immediately asks if she has sausage at home (priorities).
🏠 Does he get fans showing up at his house? – “Once, an old lady rang the bell with a camera in her hair. Said, ‘Can I take a picture?’ I said, ‘No, you can’t. I’m in my best robe. Haven’t had coffee. I have little white things in my eyes.’”
📞 Radio people keep waking him up – “They called me at 5:30 on my birthday to talk about it. I was very charming. Then I changed my number.”

It was pure DeLuise mayhem—half interview, half stand-up routine. And somehow, he managed to turn the entire studio into his own personal Italian restaurant.
