On this episode of the Best Of The Morning X, Barnes, Leslie, and Jimmy dive into the story of Phil Barron, a devoted Creed fan who is now suing the band following a disastrous concert experience in Chicago. Phil describes how Creed’s lead singer, Scott Stapp, appeared disoriented on stage, stumbling through just a few songs, unable to remember lyrics, and ultimately lying on his back mid-performance. Despite the band's attempts to carry on, fans were left confused, disappointed, and without an apology or refund. When the concert promoters failed to address the issue, Phil decided to take legal action.

On this episode of The Morning X, Barnes and Leslie explore groundbreaking science with Dr. James Mahoney, a neuroscientist pioneering a new approach to addiction treatment. James discusses focused ultrasound technology—a noninvasive "brain zapping" method that targets craving centers in the brain, potentially revolutionizing addiction recovery. By reducing cravings and enhancing patient engagement in other treatments, this procedure could be transformative for those battling substance use and behavioral disorders like binge eating. Dr. Mahoney shares insights on current trials, ethical considerations, and the steps toward FDA approval, all while underscoring the potential of this technology to save lives.

On this episode of The Morning X, Barnes and Leslie take a good look at the high-profile celebrity breakup involving country star Zach Bryan and his ex-girlfriend Brianna Chickenfry from the BFFs Podcast. Brianna recently revealed on-air her experiences of alleged emotional abuse throughout their relationship and her decision to refuse a $12 million NDA offered by Bryan. As they discuss the complexity of public breakups and emotional abuse, listeners call in to share opinions on the moral and financial dilemmas posed by Brianna’s choice to speak out instead of taking the money. The conversation shifts to the broader implications for Bryan’s career, questioning whether the scandal might harm his popularity or if fans will separate his actions from his music. They also reflect on similar controversies with other musicians and the challenge fans face in balancing their love for music with their stance on artists’ personal behaviors.
