When you get fired, it's likely that you'll feel a mix of emotions. ... Focus on yourself. ... Reflect on the positives. ... Reassess your wants and needs. Set new goals. ... Make healthy decisions. ... Take a break from social media. ... Find areas of improvement What NOT TO DO after being fired  You Should Never Do These Things After Getting Fired Don't burn bridges. ... Don't leave without securing references. ... Don't wait to find work. ... Don't apply to new roles with an old resume. ... Don't take to social media. ... Don't bow out of the transition process. ... Don't sign anything. ... Don't rule out the possibility of wrongful termination. 2) Understanding African American speak, Jaime Foxx posted "They killed this dude name Jesus... What do you think they'll do to you?" Then Jennifer Aniston was offended. REALLY? He then said, "I want to apologize. I know my choice of words has caused offense, I'm sorry. That was never my intent. To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that's what I meant by "they" not anything more. I only have love in my heart for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community. In the Black community, "They killed Jesus" is a common Black colloquialism that warns people against trusting too easily"  Did he need to apologize?   How long have Black people been OFFENDED by the things white people say and the way they treat others? • Dr. Mother Love chats with Saundra Bryant regarding her 40 yrs of Service
Saundra Bryant first came to All Peoples Community Center when she was just two. More specifically, she came to our daycare. She participated in our programs throughout her childhood and adolescence. She’s been our Executive Director for over 30 years. Her commitment to her community is demonstrated by her lifelong service to others.  She has served as a Community Service Member on the Board of Directors of the Asian American Drug Abuse Program of Los Angeles. She served on several panels for the orientation of police officers serving in LAPD’s specialized units, including its SWAT division. In 1987, Saundra became the first female member of the Los Angeles Host Lions Club, chartered in 1914, and in 1992 was installed as its first female President! House of Prayer for All Peoples was chartered in May 1946. Until 1964, the church and center worked as a single entity, as one of seven mission centers in the US sponsored by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Then, the Community Center and Church became separate entities. Started well before the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s-60s, this was a revolutionary concept. As the 2008 Strategic Plan says, “At a time when  segregation were still an everyday reality in Los Angeles, the establishment of All Peoples, a multi-ethnic and multi-racial community center, was not just path-breaking, it was revolutionary.”  All Peoples Community Center has survived World War II, major earthquakes,  Watts Riot, & the 1992 civil unrest. The Vernon Central community of South Los Angeles has gone from Japanese-American to African-American, to Latinx. All Peoples Community Center continues to serve people of all ages and races. Even when COVID-19 hit, the doors remained open, providing hunger relief for families and older adults, emergency rental relief & preventing learning loss for school-age youth.

A family in Indiana is mourning the loss of a 35-year-old mother-of-two who they said died after drinking 64 oz of water in 20 minutes. Ashley Summers was celebrating the Fourth of July on a lake in Indiana when she started to feel intensely dehydrated, according to her brother, Devon Miller. "At one point during the day, she started getting a bad headache, so she was drinking a lot of water." Miller said Summers drank the equivalent of four 16-ounce bottles of water in 20 minutes, and then later collapsed inside the garage of her home. A cow fell through a roof and crushed a man to death. Guess the cow really did jump well, off a cliff. Celebrities, is it true they die in 3's? Whose demise shocked you most? Marilyn Monroe. The world was shaken on August 5, 1962, when Marilyn Monroe was found dead at the age of 36 in her home in Los Angeles. The cause? A barbiturate overdose that was ruled a probable suicide.Natalie Wood. On November 29, 1981, the actress and movie star Natalie Wood drowned while on a boating trip with her husband, Robert Wagner. Wagner had reported Wood missing after a night of drinking, and Wood’s body was found several hours later floating face-down in the water wearing a flannel nightgown, down jacket, and socks. REALLY?Thelma Todd. American actress Thelma Todd died in 1935 of carbon monoxide poisoning. Todd, 29, was found slumped over the steering wheel of her Lincoln. • Dr. Mother Love & Cool TLC discusses the fall out over ending Legacy admissions.
The Supreme Court's June decision to ban affirmative action came in response to lawsuits that challenged the policies of Harvard University and the University of North Carolina (UNC) by claiming race-conscious student admissions programs discriminate against white and Asian American applicants. The recent Supreme Court decision to ban the consideration of race in college admissions is poised to have a significant impact on school access and student body composition, in both direct and indirect ways. The expectation, based on states that have already banned affirmative action, is that Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous enrolment will decline, perhaps precipitously, under the new rules. The impact of the decision is already being felt in less direct but similarly impactful ways. In Missouri and Kentucky, government and school officials are interpreting the decision as banning not only race-based admissions policies but also scholarships reserved for minority students. This means that some of the minority students admitted under the new regime might not be able to afford to go to the schools of their choice. The tradition of "Legacy" college admissions is under fire. The practice of more favorably viewing university applicants whose parents are alumni is known as “legacy” admission or preference. Colleges that offer legacy admissions defend the practice, saying legacy status is one of many factors that are considered and that it helps them build lasting relations with their alumni, whose donations can make financial aid possible to other applicants. Several studies have shown that legacy admissions overwhelmingly favor wealthy and white applicants, and critics have described the practice as reverse affirmative action — benefiting such students at the cost of. applicants of color and other disadvantaged groups.

Some 65,000 of us (Dr. Mother Love is a member of SAG/AFTRA since 1989) Hollywood actors have taken up picket signs bringing productions to a halt as we fight for higher pay amid inflation and a rapidly evolving entertainment industry including Artificial Intellegence. We performers say the annual pay we've come to rely on, which is based on residuals from movie and television appearances, has plummeted in the age of streaming, making it impossible for the vast majority of us actors to earn a living.
