What’s going on is that people who are not vaccinated are building up immunity by getting sick. What we’re seeing is that being vaccinated or getting sick does not provide perfect protection, or even long-lasting protection against getting ill again. We’re probably going to see a larger fraction of people who get COVID being those who are vaccinated.  The flip side is that the vaccines are still really effective against serious illness and hospitalization. For example, recent data from New York State suggests that people who are vaccinated are 20 times less likely to be hospitalized. In a cancel culture where there's zero tolerance for prejudice, at least one form of discrimination appears to be alive and well. Ageism involves prejudice based on people's advancing age. It can be as overt as not hiring someone because they are older, or as subtle as giving a loved one a meant-to-be funny "you're over the hill" birthday card.

I was given an assignment by the General Manager as the Food & Beverage Manager to bring Live Jazz music to the Bel Age Hotel's Ten20. This grew into a major Jazz Venue off Sunset Strip where many a-list artists performed. Stevie Wonder, Gerald Levert, Bobby Brown, Lou Rawls. We were packed every Monday and Friday. It was here that I met and began business relationships with many of Los Angeles's most Successful Event Promoters. I let them use the hotel space for their events while hosting my own as well. Over the years I've been a part of several spectacular Los Angeles events, to name a few. We the people must get our acts together as we face a multitude of personal issues, Mental health, more WofC diagnosed with late-stage Breast Cancer, sky-high food, gas, housing, prices, and lack of affordable adequate daycare. We are making hard choices to survive. Lest we forget we have severe shortages of resources, water, the earth is burning, and flooding, and droughts as we have never seen before in MS, Pakistan & more communities. And we are dealing with a mentally deranged dangerous ex-president who if he's breathing he's lying in his fantasy world and must be held accountable. President Biden's administration works to allow many students & former students to have forgiveness of some of their heavy student loan debt. Everybody was not going to be pleased. Dems & Repubs are not happy some say it is not enough, it's unfair and some are just hypocrites as they have had their PPP loans forgiven...congresswoman mtg of GA was forgiven her loan of $183,504.00.   The money people are predicting inflation coming will make the economy suffer. Well just damn.
