Either Collins was a fool to believe any such promises, or she is now just feigning outrage to shift blame and cover herself. The White House had promised Collins, a moderate, that it would seek a vote before recess on guaranteeing payments to health insurers in order to stabilize Obamacare markets, a key issue for her. But under intense opposition from pro-life groups and from House conservatives, no such vote materialized. Collins berated Short for reneging on the deal and then walked off after Short tried to explain, according to two people familiar with the exchange. “I was disappointed the deadline slipped,” Collins told POLITICO in an interview. Nearly two decades after she walked into a Florida hospital posing as a nurse and walked out with a newborn, Gloria Williams stood in a courtroom today and admitted she acted alone in the 1998 abduction of the baby she raised as her own. The Walterboro, South Carolina, woman, 52, told Judge Marianne Aho she was solely responsible for the July 10, 1998, kidnapping of the infant born Kamiyah Mobley at University Medical Center in Jacksonville. Williams entered guilty pleas to charges of felony kidnapping and interference of custody in the 4th Judicial Circuit Court in Jacksonville, Florida, as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan, in a round of interviews with conservative radio shows on Thursday, said the Florida school shooting that killed at least 17 people on Wednesday should not threaten citizens' rights to own guns. "There's more questions than answers at this stage," the Republican lawmaker said in an interview with Tom Katz on Indiana radio station WIBC about the mass shooting less than 24 hours earlier. "I don't think that means you then roll that conversation into taking away citizens' rights - taking away a law-abiding citizen's rights. Obviously this conversation typically goes there. Right now, I think we need to take a breath and collect the facts." Ted Cruz has been called out for attacking his Democratic opponent for using a nickname, even though he does the same thing. Mr Cruz was giving an interview on CNN Tuesday night when Chris Cuomo brought up a campaign jingle that mocks Rep Beto O'Rourke for going by Beto instead of his given name, Robert. Mr O'Rourke won the Democratic primary that same night, and will be competing to unseat Mr Cruz this November. "You go after Beto for his name. Beto is obviously a nickname — why?" Cuomo asked. "First of all, you didn't like that dirty pool when you were running for president and the President called you 'Lyin' Ted', you didn't like that kind of tactic." "And you know what, your name is Rafael, you go by Ted but your middle name is Edward, that's a more Anglicized version of it," Cuomo continued. "He went the other way and has a more ethnic version of his name — why go after him? You're doing the same thing." The video shows the young boy wrapped in a hoodie and with a large rucksack on his back jogging the one mile to school as his father drives behind. The amused dad - who claims his son keeps up a "good six mph pace" - said the punishment was paying off as his son's behaviour had already improved. Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, has been stripped of his top-secret security clearance after months of delays in completing his background check, and will now be limited in his ability to view highly classified information. He also made his own trips abroad. More recently, Mr. Kushner has embraced a lower profile as more questions have been raised about his interactions with foreign officials and about his financial entanglements and abroad. Trump’s managerial style, dubbed “chaos theory”, has caused emotional grief for the White House staff. It further claims that aides have “expressed frustration” that Kushner and Ivanka Trump have remained as senior advisers and that President Trump has “privately asked” Kelly for help in moving them out. It is unclear if the president is asking them to leave out of compassion or, as the Timeshints, concerns about Kushner’s potential legal issues over various business dealings. The Times story also reports that President Trump has spoken to Kushner and Ivanka Trump and asked them to stay on at the White House but privately has claimed they “never should have come” to work there. Thus, he has asked Kelly to be the instigator of their departure.  Geoffrey Mark Best selling author, Emmy Award winner and Grammy nominee, , has diligently put together the ultimate ELLA biography, this tome not only covers her entire career with many never-before seen photos, interviews, and anecdotes, but delivers for the first time the true, untold story of Ella - the woman.
