The Supermotocross points leader and dominant round 1 winner Chase Sexton had a rough one in Chicagoland this weekend. He was off pace all day and visibly struggling with the bike. We figured he’d struggle a bit there as he struggled with bike setup for motocross all year which Chicago was mostly motocross like. 

Red Bull KTM factory MX2 athlete Liam Everts has had one heck of a year. So far he’s racked up a few wins and many podiums and up until this past weekend was a contender for the 2023 MX2 title.

Coming into the MXGP Of Italy in Maggiora Park Everts had one goal in mind. Do good enough to push the points battle to the final round by keeping the points gap under 60 points (new points rule for qualifying). In moto 1 Everts was successful, placing 4th just one position behind points leader Andrea Adamo. At this point all it would take for Adamo to wrap up the title early was disaster for Everts… WHich is exactly what happened.

The rumors have been swirling around the pits for months now regarding Joey Savatgy’s plans for 2024 and it looks like we finally got a confirmation last night. It has been rumored for a while now that Savatgy may sign with the new Triumph team (believed to be called Monster Energy Triumph) or maybe he would sign an extension with Rick Ware Racing and do Supercross and SMX next year.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cooper Webb was plagued with stomach issues in Chicago, limiting his performance in what was a ‘rough day’ on his way to seventh overall for 450SMX playoff two.

What a rollercoaster of a weekend for this SuperMini privateer athlete. Canyon Richards attended this weekend's Chicago SMX race for the SuperMini race and was doing pretty well. Im gonna be honest this is the first time ive heard his name because i completely mute all amateur / loretta’s / mini news or racing. I strictly pay attention to AMA and world championship professional racing. So im glad they put the mini’s in SMX, opened my eyes a bit on some talent.

In todays show were going to look at the finally confirmed deal between Webb and Star Yamaha and i’ll show you the first riding footage as well as a quick interview he did talking about the switch. On top of that we will look at the freshly announced team Germany and yes Ken Roczen is back on the team. After that we’ll look at a fresh silly season move in MXGP with longtime Monster Energy Yamaha rider Jeremy Seewer switching to Kawasaki. I got a lot to get into in todays show, if you wanna skip to a certain topic i have chapters on the video as well as on top of the screen so you can watch whatever section youd like. Hello and welcome to a new video series I will be doing from here on out called the Moto Daily Show. To keep it real simple, this will be a video series that I will do daily during the week mon-fri where I can talk more openly, freely, more opinionated and really dig into topics. I will also have guests on occasionally to talk about some of the topics with me as well. The videos are expected to be about 25 minutes long and I can just kinda bs and express my opinion on a variety of topics in moto. I want to keep my opinion and the facts separate so news brief videos will still be put out which is just the news and the facts in short videos, then this will be a long form video where i can express my thoughts. Today were going to be looking at the crazy clip of Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jason Anderson being forced to flag for himself at Unadilla, then we’ll take a look at a couple day old clip that I was going to put in Friday’s video but forgot to so we’ll here what Red Bull KTM rider Aaron Plessinger has to say about his contract extension through 2024 today. Finally we’ll head to the MXGP championship and look at a gnarly crash that rendered Factory Husqvarna rider Lucas Coenen out of the Swedish GP, and we’ll look at Jeremy Seewer’s reaction to his second overall win of the year.
