Time for the regularly prescribed dose of Brit Bias... Once again, The Motorsport REView takes a look at the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), and this time we are doing things properly. I was extremely fortunate to steal some time with Mark Haggan, an immensely popular figure within the BTCC paddock and the Power Maxed Racing team.

I sat down with Mark within the Power Maxed Racing team's hospitality area to discuss everything that he loves about the BTCC events. From the British Touring Cars themselves, the drivers, the atmosphere, the support races, plus the incredible story that saw the team race just 1 week after a fire destroyed their factory.

The jewel of the Formula 1 crown, Monte Carlo plays host to the F1 for the 72nd time. Navigating the narrow and twisty streets of Monaco was once described as being like riding your bike around your living room, and that was said a long time before the cars reached the large size of the modern era! With the new 2026 breed of F1 cars, no one was quite sure what we might see in Monaco this year.

Reviewing what was surprisingly for Monaco perhaps a very entertaining Grand Prix, Eddie returns again to talk with Perry. With a suspiciously large amount of penalties, along with a circuit falling apart, and the usual sprinkling of loose carbon fibre pieces, there was certainly a lot to discuss!...

After the excitement of the F1 Sprint, normal service once again resumed in Canada with the Grand Prix itself. But with severe wet weather expected to hit the track in the build up to the Grand Prix, there was every chance that this race could be wildly unpredictable. Especially around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve which always delivers a superb Grand Prix.

Discussing all the happenings from Saturdays qualifying session and Sundays Grand Prix itself, Perry is joined by resident Eddie (who was at the circuit!) to get his thoughts on being trackside in Montreal. We discuss the Mercedes duel, the McLaren meltdown, and the Ferrari vs Red Bull showdown.

The 2026 F1 calendar has been all over the place so far, with large gaps appearing between races and somehow arriving at the 3rd sprint race at just the 5th Grand Prix weekend. The circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal hosts a sprint race for the first time, and although a popular venue over the years it still left the question of whether a sprint race could deliver entertainment here.

Discussing all the happenings from sprint qualifying and the sprint race, Perry is joined by resident Canadian Eddie to get his thoughts on the flashpoints from the race. Plus we wrap up all of the latest developments on the power units, as batterygate continues to dominate the Formula headlines each week.

After the long unscheduled 5 week spring break, the Formula 1 season finally resumed racing in the 305! Based around the Hard Rock stadium, the Miami International Autodrome once again gave F1 an event like no other and featuring that same bloody Will Smith song non-stop across social media... Almost as bad as Perry and Luis for some reason deciding to record the whole episode with sunglasses on, but whatever!

Another rules tweak, a sprint weekend, many car updates, and an impeding thunderstorm on Sunday meant that there was no end of drama to be found throughout an action packed weekend. Would Mercedes and Kimi Antonelli once again be the dominant forces, or could the chasing pack start to haul in their Championship leads?

Reaching new limits for the Motorsport REView, this week we look into the world of sim racing and the F1 Sim Racing World Championship. Event 2 of the 2026 season featured 3 races over 2 days at the F1 technology and media centre in Biggin Hill. We also used this chance to ask the question, does sim racing count as real racing?

Making the argument for sim racing is up and coming commentator Omi who regularly applies his talents to the virtual world. Reluctantly, Perry makes the opposing case and discusses his previous simulator racing experiences (sorry).

We need your help on a special birthday project for Alayah - the young girl who captured the hearts of many when she got a tour of the McLaren Technology Centre last year with Lando Norris. She also been very busy making her "Foot Doon Lando" bracelets to make money for the Heel and Toe Charity. As Formula 1 continues it's extended early season break, motorsport series are either beginning their seasons or continuing to ramp up. Indycar arrived in Long Beach for round 5, joined by the Sportscars of the IMSA Weathertech Series. It offered a direct comparison around the Californian streets to directly compare the 2 forms of racing. Meanwhile WEC kicked off it's season in Imola with a 6 hours race, offering a race rule by long term strategy decisions.

Discussing the merits and rewards of what the weekends races had to offer, Perry is joined by motorsport superfan Nicola to breakdown the races and simply to talk about discovering and enjoying a variety of different racing disciplines.

The Formula 1 circus arrives for round 3 of the 2026 season at one of the greatest race circuits in the world - host of the Japanese Grand Prix, the Suzuka circuit! The flowing esses that define sector 1, the high speed degner corners, the technical challenge of the spoon corner, and the flat out ride of 130R - Suzuka features some great challenges and offers the new 2026 F1 cars a real challenge.

Talk of the batteries in the new power units once again dominated talk throughout the weekend, with a rule tweak ahead of the weekend, and particularly scary incident in the race leading to more statements after the race... Here to dissect all the technical jargon and to review the racing action, Perry is joined by Williams Engineer Ben Hebbourn.

After the 2 opening Grand Prix of the new era of Formula 1 were dominated by battery talk, what else could we review in the first week off than Formula E! It was an exceptionally busy week in the series - all of the drivers signed a letter to the FIA asking for more consistent stewarding, before a team announced they were leaving the Championship at the end of the season, before a team announced they were joining the Championship, and this was all before the racing itself! Add to that a rookie test taking place the day after the ePrix,and you have yourself a complete week in Formula E. Phew!

We have reviewed Formula E a number of times already here at the Motorsport REView. So attempting to offer an alternative view, Perry brought in Andy to watch this race. Andy has watched a number of Formula E races in the past and it has never quite captured him, but could the Madrid ePrix sway him in any way? Is Formula E better or worse for running on the purpose built race circuits rather than temporary street circuits? And what does Pit Boost offer the series strategically?
