Sometimes things happen in life that you weren't expecting. Anxiety starts to settle in. When we are in a period of time when the path seems unclear -- how can you work to ensure that the anxiety isn't something that rules your path forward.

In this episode Krissy Vann opens up about her experience over the last couple of weeks. An intense battle with anxiety cropped up after her husbands melanoma diagnosis. They were left in a land of uncertainty and without answers over if the cancer had spread for several weeks.

Through this trying time Krissy had to lean on her community and foundations to ensure she could make a conscious choice over her state of mind.

In the motorcycle community its common to tune your bike and purchase modifications. It can become addictive to create change and can come at a cost. Often this mods to increase value of the actual motorcycle -- it is a preference. It is a way to change the way the bike is perceived.

In 2023 filters, face tune, gym routines, and cosmetic procedures are all ways we tune and body mod how we are perceived in the world. At one point does the line cross from healthy self expression to an addictive fix to negative self talk.

On the podcast we talk about body image and why it's more important than ever to do a self audit on how we narrate our inner talk and the why behind tune ups and body mods.

Sometimes in life you have those moments you feel you’re at the peak of the mountain. It all feels euphoric. Then sometimes a storm comes and swoops you down into a valley. Often when we least expect it.

In this episode renowned tattoo artist Rene Botha joins the podcast. Botha offered her time to co-host while Krissy Vann is away. 

Rene went through this exact experience recently while traveling on motorcycles in Belize with 10 of her friends.

Along with her crew she traversed jungle, gnarly dirt roads, sweeping vistas, and coastal views on two wheels.

 It was on a rest day in Belize where of all things a Tarzan rope swing swooped her off the top of the proverbial mountain. 

 As a tattoo artist Renes hands are her instrument to bring her incredible artwork to life. It was one trip on a Tarzan rope that resulted in a broken finger.  All of a sudden her fine art tool was shelved. This meant loss of revenue and having to shelve her creative tool.

On this episode Laurie and Rene talk about navigating life when the valley takes hold and how to climb back to the top of the mountain.
