This week we look at Ephesians 6:1-4 in which the Apostle Paul addresses parents and children. Nathan preaches the text and casts the vision of The Mountain Church Kids Ministry.

This week we look at Paul's commands to wives and husbands in Ephesians 5:22-33. We see three main truths:

1) In Christ, wives are commanded to submit to their own husbands as the church submits to Jesus. A wife’s submission to her own husband is a joyful response in support of his leadership and willingness to follow his initiative.

2. In Christ, husbands are commanded to love their wives sacrificially giving themselves up for them. A husband’s love for his wife is taking the initiative to self-sacrificially seek her flourishing and holiness.

3. In Christ, marriage is designed to be a beautiful and profound witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This week we look at Ephesians 5:1-21 focusing on what it means to be imitators of God. From the passage we see imitators of God do the following:

1. Walk in love (v. 2)

2. Walk in light (v.3-14)

3. Walk in wisdom (v.15-21)

This week we look at Ephesians 4:17-32 examining the new life in Christ. All who are in Christ have put off the old self and put on the new self once and for all. In the new self, those in Christ are to be continually renewed in the spirit of their minds and walk in faithful obedience.

This week we look at Paul's exhortation to the church in Ephesians 4:1-16 to walk in a manner worthy of the calling. We see that in Christ we are to grow up into Him by:

1) Actively maintaining the unity of the Spirit

2) Being equipped to do the work of ministry

3) Speaking the truth in love

4) Every member working properly in the body

On Easter Sunday we looked at Paul's prayer for spiritual strength in Ephesians 3:14-21. From the passage we saw that knowing the love of God in Christ means intellectually grasping it as well as experiencing it. We concluded that this happens through the Spirit in: 1) Gospel-Centered Repentance and Faith, 2) Gospel-Centered Prayer, 3) Gospel-Centered Study and 4) Gospel-Centered Community.

This week we continue our study through the book of Ephesians in Ephesians 2:11-22. We examine three truths from the text:

1) In Christ we are no longer a divided people.

2) In Christ we are now near to God.

3) In Christ we are built into a new temple.

We continue our study through the book of Ephesians. This week we examine Ephesians 2:1-10 looking at what those in Christ have been made alive from, how they have been made alive, and what they are made alive to do.

This week we have a guest speaker, Clay Holcomb share a message from Psalm 32:1-7. Clay encourages the church to grow in our faith by growing in confessional prayer. When we harbor unconfessed sin in our heart it not only separates us from God, it also isolates and distorts our daily life. Confession allows God to unbind our hearts from the sin that weighs us down.

This week we look at Ephesians 1:15-23 in which the Apostle Paul give thanks and records his prayer for the church in Ephesus. Paul prays that the eyes of their heart may be enlightened and that they know the blessings that they have in Christ.
