In our second week through our series in our core values we talk about the gospel. We look at three foundational questions:

1) What is the gospel?

2) What does it mean to value the gospel?

3) If we value the gospel, what will it look like/sound like?

In this first sermon through our series through our Core Values we look what it means to be devoted to the Holy Scriptures.

We conclude our study through the prophet Jonah. From the passage, Jonah 4:1-11, the compassion of the LORD is highlighted. The LORD is a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. He appoints life and He appoints destruction. Finally, the LORD has a heart for the nations and has compassion on sinners.

This week we continue our study through the book of Jonah looking at Jonah 3:1-10. From the passage we find that 1) The called are sent, 2) The sent go with the Word

and, 3) The Word does the work.

We continue our study through the book of Jonah looking at Jonah 1:17-2:10. This passage highlights the Mercy of God and we glean three main truths from the section:

1) The LORD has mercy on whomever He wills

2) The LORD has mercy in hearing and answering the cries of His people

3) The LORD has mercy in saving His people leading to responses of praise, thanksgiving, and sacrifice

This week we look at Jonah 1:7-16 in which Jonah is thrown into the sea. We examine the charaterstics of God in the text, how this passage points to Jesus, and how it applies to our life.

We begin our study through the book of Jonah starting with Jonah 1:1-6. From the passage we see two main principles:

1) The LORD calls His people to arise, go, and proclaim His message of repentance

2) The LORD disciplines those who disobey Him

In our final sermon of our study through the book of Ephesians we look at Ephesians 6:21-24. From the passage we gather these 3 principles:

1) Those in Christ desire to share both evidences of God’s grace in their life and their involvement in the mission of God

2) Those in Christ desire to encourage others hearts

3) Those in Christ desire to grow in unity, faith, and love

This week we look at Ephesians 6:10-20 examining Paul's charge to be strong in Christ and in the strength of His might. Paul instructs those in Christ to put on the whole armor of God to stand firm in Christ and against the schemes of Satan. From the text we see these four principles:

1) The strong in the Lord are people of humility

2) The strong in the Lord are people of the Word

3) The strong in the Lord are people of prayer

4)The strong in the Lord are people of bold witness

This week we examine Ephesians 6:5-9 applying the principals Paul describes to work. We see from the text that: 1) In Christ, all have Jesus as their new Master and Lord, 2) In Christ, all are to work as to the Lord Jesus, 3) In Christ, all in authority are to lead like Jesus. All in Christ treat others with deep respect and honesty knowing that Jesus shows no partiality.
