Lookout Mountain's Bobby Vannoy, is young, full of life and finding his future out west with film, climbing, school and adventure.

Daniel Roberts shares with our listeners about his personal journey to Lookout Mtn from out west and Yellowstone National Park as well as some really helpful info about Lula Lake Land Trust and how folks can enjoy this amazing natural beauty right here on Lookout Mountain. Daniel does a really good job of welcoming everyone from school groups to weekend hikers, and all ages essentially, to come out and be a part of the great story we all know as "Lula Lake".
He shares how resources are used and needed to keep specific programs going and he shares info for families and first-time visitors as well as "old friends" who may want to come back out. Hear about some wonderful conservation programs and the overall mission of this special non-profit the Lula Lake Land Trust (LLLT). Also hear about the super exciting new addition of acerage and the extensive trail system being prepared for the next generation called the Durham Trails.
This episode is packed with great information, and it invites all listeners to re-engage with LLLT somehow - a weekend visit, volunteering to work and through donations. LLLT is focused on 3 main concepts of conservation, education and recreation.
The Team at LLLT sounds lean, busy and very good so we can all feel good about that as we search for ways that each of us can hopefully play a role in this gem of nature that we are lucky enough to be able to enjoy right here in our own community on Lookout.

The 2022 Annual Garden Tour is occurring this weekend and the focus area for the first time in a decade is.....Lookout Mountain!
It's not just for the Master Gardeners anymore...anyone with a $20 ticket can attend and you have two whole days to see about 8 gardens all around Lookout Mountain.
Garden designer and installer Scott Drucker shares a little info about who he is and how he came to be the go-to person for many serious garden-design inquiries. In addition to info on growing up in Chattanooga, Scott gives some good detail about The Tour and some of the homes and gardens that will make up the locations on Lookout this year.
Scott also discusses some gardens on Lookout and what they contain and how they are laid out.

Come hear the sweet and great Ferris Robinson talk about her love of people and of Lookout in this super episode focused mainly on The Mountain Mirror paper and its operation. Ferris does a wonderful job of praising multiple mountain families with names such as: Parker, Raul, Campbell, Persinger, Glasscock and others. Also hear about the history of the paper and how well it is thriving today as it truly lives up to its motto of a "paper of fact, fun and fancy" and where that great motto came from. Hear about the amazing efforts of well-known mountain names and how they all pulled together to make sure Lookout had a community paper for all to enjoy.
Ferris does an excellent job of carefully describing the monthly paper operation and the special team of talented and dedicated folks who today, help make it a reality the first of each month. This episode also highlights other programs such as: Bee City USA, the Homegrown National Park Project, Get on the map, National Park Movement and Open Eyes, Open Hearts.
Ferris also mentions the children's books that she and her wonderful mom Mary Jane, created - The Queen Who Banished Bugs and others.
