This film highlights the rebirth of rock and roll in New York at the start of the millennium. It features bands such as The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and LCD Soundsystem.

Join us as we discuss the burden of success, Karen Oh-My-GAWD, and just what can make a grumpy James Murphy dance.

Episode 45 breezes into your pod-boxes as we start a new Mixtape called Vacation. (Though admittedly we do refer to it as Summer Break in the episode but Vacation fits on the sticker better.)

Marcie gets to pick first for once and went for the tale of family, love, and maybe loss QUESTION MARK. 2022'S Aftersun, a debut film from writer director Charlotte Wells.

Join us as we talk DADS (of course), a summer of discovery, and very expensive rugs.

A heads up that this episode does discuss serious issues surrounding mental health as well.

Coming back into your pod-holes The Movie Mixtape RETURNS like a sausage nunchuck to the face. Yes Marcie has had her baby (aaaah), Dirk has had his rest (aaaaaah), and we have added a third host?! Mikey P joins the Mixtape Crew as we officially become a trio (aaaaaaahhhhhh!)

It is here, the final episode before the show goes on hiatus and it's KAIJU-SIZED.

Our Christmas Presents Mixtape ends with the mother of all movies, Pacific 'Bloody Nora' Rim. Directed by Guillermo Del Toro and featuring the man for all seasons Idris Elba.

We may be going down but we're going down swinging a boat like it's a baseball bat. Join us as we discuss all things Jaeger related including: How to world build GDT style. This score, have you heard it (so good)? And joy, just pure simple joy.

All that and thanks to a mammoth sized mail bag we may well get to hear Marcie cry one more time.

Please listen to our friend's podcast The Rank Kings, Spaghetti & Freddie, Reel Latinos, and Seddy Bimco.

Episode 42 will buy you a song if you buy it a drink. We are discussing the second pick in our Christmas Present Mixtape and for the first time ever Marcie goes first. Having previously thawed Dirk's disdain for old movies with Roman Holiday (episode 14) she goes for it again with a game changing piece of cinema in The Apartment.

The two of them ramble on about many things including: idiot men, smart elevator operator ladies, and whether Dr Dreyfuss even got a medical degree at all.

This plus some emails nearly end up breaking Marcie.

Thank you to everyone who listens to the show, we would love to hear from you. Please send emails or voicemails to [email protected]

Episode 38 dances right into your pod-boxes with a much needed Warm Blanket movie. This time Marcie has picked her highest tog rated film ever, 2005's Pride & Prejudice.

Dirk had long sworn to never watch this period drama so what happens when his immoveable prejudice meets Marcie's unstoppable pride for all things Lizzie and Darcy? Why don't you have a listen and find out!

Topics of discussion include (but not limited to): hands, holding hands, and oh my jeez I am not joking did you see the way they held hands?
