Last week.. We discussed Season 6 of Saturday Night Live which was Eddie Murphy's debut on national television. It was a rocky season. SNL hired an all new cast that the crittics hated. This season resulted in the firing of the whole cast except Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo. I had mentioned that I would love to know more about that season. Luck would have it that one of the listeners of the podcast knew a writer from that season. That writer's name is FERRIS BUTLER (SNL 1980-1981). In this episode... We talk about how he came to be a writer on this infamous season; How Eddie Murphy got on the show; His relationship with Gilbert Gotfried & much more. Most importantly.. We find out about how he was the inspiration for "FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF".

It was an honor to have Anthony DiDomenico (Host of the podcast formerly known as "Weight Watcher Bros/ WWBros" which chronicled his weight loss journey). He got on this episode to talk about his new motivational podcast "Keep Moving Forward". Ironically, I booked him for the movie "Nutty Professor" which is a movie that we both relate to. We talked about how this movie was the official comeback for Eddie in the 90s. Was Eddie truly in a "Slump" in the 90s? Why doesn't Jada Pinkett Smith age? Nigel will read recent reviews of this movie from Rotten Tomatoes And... We will find out what Generation Z thinks about this movie from 1996.

Back by Popular Demand... This movie has become somewhat of a cult classic. I felt that I needed to talk about this movie again. I asked Actress/Comedian Laneya Wiles & Brandon Collins (Drunk Black History) to help me with this. This was a fun episode.. As Brandon would say "Oooohhh Child". We talked about why people forget about Bowfinger; How Black Actors are viewed in movies; Why Eddie deserves an Oscar and Could Eddie Murphy kill on Def Comedy Jam? All this plus more.. I really enjoyed this episode. You will too

This week... I have the Host of Comedy Vinyl Vibes & Founder of the Harlem Comedy Festival... Mr. Neruda Willliams.  He has a show that highlights vinyl comedy albums and what better way to incorporate what we both do than to do a podcast highlighting The Grammy Award Winning Album  "Eddie Murphy: Comedian" which is actually the audio version of "Delirious". We talk cultural references. Whether the material dated or not? Could Eddie Murphy do Def Comedy Jam? and as always... Neruda's Top 5 Eddie Murphy movies. We also talk about why I was nervous around Patrice O'neal and other revelations we learn in standup.

Sometimes.. We have to revisit movies for a second opinion. In an earlier episode, We talked in depth about "SHOWTIME" with Jeremy Burnett. However, he wasn't really sold on the premise of the movie. This week I have special guest Truck Hudson (ABC's For Life, Luke Cage S2, & upcoming season of Power 'Book II'). He actually picked SHOWTIME because he feels that it is under appreciated. We also talk about about hanging out with Dave Chappelle; Being type casted in TV & Movies; The passing of Eddie Murphy's manager Richie Tienken (RIP) and why "SHOWTIME" made it on his TOP 5 Eddie Murphy movies of all time.
