Mary Magdalene – along with many other women who had also been healed or freed from evil spirits – accompanied Jesus in his journeys throughout Galilee. They also accompanied him to Jerusalem and observed the horror of his crucifixion.

She saw the burial, and she knew that she must visit the tomb to give a proper burial with more spices than could be arranged in the final moments before the sun set on that fateful Friday afternoon.

And then it happened.
