  • Three More Balloons, Prisoner Release, and Property Tax Bills
A prisoner has been released from Guantanamo Bay and released in Belize. There are reports that there were three balloons that passed over the US during the Trump administration. Oh, and Lisa Sanchez says she deserves to be reinstated to city council immediately. Nate Shelman started off with these three topics and asked you: Which do you care about most? Last week three property tax bills were introduced in Idaho. One would supplement property tax with sales tax, one would create a scale on how much property tax could be collected, and the other would have the state pay more to schools in hopes to reduce the amounts asked for in bonds and levies. Which idea do you like? One of the families of a victim in the University of Idaho murders is asking the judge to remove a gag order that is placed on the families. Who do you think has the right to put gag orders in place that limit someone's right to free speech? There is a bill in Idaho that if passed would allow some college students to receive $8,500 to go towards an in-demand degree or technical program. Do you think this is good use of tax payer dollar or socialism? (2/6/23)

  • Rants, Raves, And The Surveillance Balloon
It's Rant and Rave Friday! Also, there's a Chinese surveillance balloon moving across the US. Nate asks: What is one good reason we shouldn't shoot this thing down right now? Meanwhile in Idaho we have some unusual coyote behaviors going on with reports of coyotes chasing skiers up north. Hunters, this is your time to weigh in. Can you shoot a coyote in self-defense without a hunting license? There is a bill in Idaho that would limit who could request an absentee ballot. Do you think we should make people provide a reason to vote absentee? Nate Shelman rounded out this show with your raves. (2/3/23)

  • Medical Treatment for Gender Dysphoria and Electric Vehicles
There is a bill being proposed that would make it a felony to administer any medical treatment to a minor for gender dysphoria. Nate Shelman asks: Is it the State's job to make this rule? We already tell minors they can't smoke or drink, is this along the same lines? Nate talked to several of you about that and then moved on to talking about Electric Vehicles. Nate asks electric vehicle owners to weigh in on a tax credit of $7,500 that could be available to them. Why do you think you deserve that money just for not owning a gas-powered vehicle? (2/2/23)

  • Champagne on a Beer Budget: The Lisa Sanchez Adventures
There are new findings that show that Lisa Sanchez might've spent campaign funds on more food than campaign... in a non-election year. At this point Nate says it might be easier to get a koala to take her place. Boise, now we have a real discussion. Last night Boise Police Department arrested a few teens because they caused a scare when they brought their air soft guns to the mall. Parents, what are your thoughts? How should they be charged? Nationally we are already talking about the 2024 election. Who is your pick? A new poll shows DeSantis might fare better then Trump against Biden. Speaking of bears on cocaine. What are your thoughts on Greater Idaho? State Representative Judy Boyle wants to start talks with the Oregon Legislature about The Greater Idaho movement. (2/1/23)

  • Fighting in Schools and Police Reform
The Caldwell police arrested a substitute teacher who encouraged students to fight each other, recorded it, and posted it on social media. Nate Shelman asks: Do you think fighting has any place in schools today? Not sponsored fights like this, this was inappropriate. More like after school two kids disagree and have it out. Would that be okay? ATTENTION LISTENERS: COVID-19 will be over on May 11th, or at least the federal emergency orders will be. What are your thoughts? Should we host an end of corona party? The other major national topic is police reform. Do you think that the federal government should have any say in how all law enforcement, local, state, and federal, should conduct business? Do you think that uniformed officers should face a harsher punishment for crimes committed while in uniform? (1/31/23)
