Some dispute over Edgar Lungu's repatriation from SA between family and Zambian government

This comes after Lungu’s family announced it would independently repatriate the former head of state, despite an earlier announcement by the Zambian government that it would spearhead the process.

President Faure Gnassingbé is facing growing pressure following a government clampdown on protests calling for his resignation over recent changes in the constitution that could effectively keep him in power indefinitely.

 

3.    Botswana- Nigeria

Boko Contemplates Military Hub

President Duma Boko announced Botswana's ambition to develop a military industry and a hub for military excellence, Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) hosted a delegation from the Air Force War College, Nigeria, and the Botswana Defence Force (BDF).

 

4.    In our historical archives, it was on this 11 June 1935 when Ntate Molefe Pheto was born in Alexandra, Johannesburg.

 As a talented young boy who displayed many interests in the arts, he was sent to London to study music and eventually became a music teacher.

In 1970, as a young man he was active member of the Black Consciousness Movement of Azania (BMCA) for which he was detained in 1975.
