Amalgamated Lawyers Association (ALA) in their recent legal action against President Cyril Ramaphosa and the Judicial Services Commission (JSC). The ALA has filed an application with the Johannesburg High Court on 7 August, seeking to compel President Ramaphosa to remove Judge George Phatudi from his position as Judge President of the Limpopo High Court. 
 
The application alleges that President Ramaphosa is acting in bad faith by reportedly ignoring the ALA's petition to have Judge Phatudi removed. Given the significance of this case and its implications for the judiciary
