A video has been doing the rounds on social media over the weekend where a church claimed to have resurrected a person. The video shows an undertaker’s van delivering the person at the church and the pastor praying for them and the person then rises from the coffin.

The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has served African Global Operations, formerly Bosasa, with a 30-day notice to terminate its contract to provide food for inmates. This was announced by Justice and Correctional Services Minister Michael Masutha at a media briefing on the department's review of contracts with the embattled facilities management company. Earlier this month, Masutha confirmed that the department was reviewing the contracts it had with Bosasa following damning allegations made at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into state capture.

Eskom Board Chairperson, Jabu Mabuza says former Executive Matshela Koko sent Gupta associate, Salim Essa confidential correspondence between former Eskom Board Chair Ben Ngcubane - and then Public Enterprises Minister, Lynne Brown. Mabuza says Ngubane had sent Brown a letter asking for the suspension of advertising on various media publications which were considered to be reporting negatively about a number of state owned companies, including Eskom.

FNB says it has detected abnormally high volumes and disputes of suspicious debit orders with descriptors Procall and Mzansi in December 2018 and January 2019.
The bank said that FNB will deploy analytical, forensic and legal expertise to protect customers against unauthorised debit orders.
By the way, The Reserve Bank recently published in the Government Gazette that the new implementation date for DebiCheck, also known as Authenticated Collections, will now be October 31 this year and the new sunset date for the termination of all old debit orders - or non-DebiCheck orders - is now October 31 next year.

Tomorrow the Democratic Alliance will be launching their manifesto for 2019 at Rand Stadium in Rosettenville, south of Johannesburg.
The party said its ''Manifesto for Change'' was a culmination of consulting South Africans and its party structures at all levels. The manifesto will outline the DA's plans on the economy, jobs, the public service, education, healthcare, issues facing women, land, economic and structural redress, the arts, science and technology, and state-owned enterprises.

This morning on SAfm Sunrise, Stephen Grootes spoke to DA MP Makashule Gana and he said the manifesto will focus on ways of curbing corruption.

Thirteen more bodies have been retrieved from the Gloria coal mine in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. More than 20 bodies were reported trapped underground following a gas explosion that took place two weeks ago. An unknown number of people are still unaccounted for. It is alleged that the group went underground to steal copper cables. Five bodies were recovered two weeks ago. Mpumalanga police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says a total of 18 bodies have now been retrieved from underground so far
