Patriotic Alliance (PA) councillor Marlon Daniels will attempt to unseat Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Mongameli tomorrow. With the help of ACDP councillor Lance Grootboom, they have submitted an urgent motion of no confidence in Bobani. The motion will be debated at the next council tomorrow. It will be the second attempt to remove Bobani after the DA's motion of no confidence in the incumbent mayor fell flat last year.

The days of uncompetitive conduct with regards to the sale of school uniforms have come to an end. Yesterday, the Competition Commission announced that it had finally made progress in the time-honoured call for making school uniforms affordable for everyone.
The commission's tribunal said a consent of agreement had been entered into with various schools yesterday in this regard. In terms of the agreement, the parties will adhere to competitive behaviours and reduce the pricing of school uniforms.

ANC secretary general Ace Magashule says it was Zizi Kodwa and Pule Mabe who each requested that they not fulfill their full responsibilities while they face separate claims of sexual violence.Magashule said the party respected their decisions to step aside.
