Bain South Africa has withdrawn its membership from Business Leadership South Africa and apologized for inflicting damage on the South African Revenue Services. They are however disappointed that the Zondo Commission report mischaracterized their role at SARS – pointing out that they submitted two detailed affidavits to the commission, neither of which appear to have been factored into the report.

The Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, UMALUSI says incidents of unauthorised/early access to question papers detected at some of the examination centres in KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng have potential to compromise the integrity of examinations if not addressed decisively. UMALUSI said this earlier today when briefing the media on the approval of the release of the 2021 national examination results.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says work to revive and refurbish some train stations in the Western Cape is almost complete. Mbalula visited some of the train stations on the Northern Line to assess the renovations. Mbalula says the stations which have been vandalised during Covid-19 lockdown are expected to be operational again in the first week of March. The refurbishment of the six stations have cost taxpayers about 60-million rand.
