The Gauteng Department of arts, culture and recreation spent more than R100,000 in corporate gifts this year. This according to the Democratic Alliance, DA in the province. The party's provincial shadow MEC for Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Kingsol Chabalala says the mammoth expenditure on gifts should have been used to assist artists and athletes affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile the department says the expenditure on corporate gifts is not sinister as it benefits local crafters...
