The Constitutional Court will tomorrow hear an application for former president Jacob Zuma to be jailed for two years if he is found guilty of contempt of court. Zuma was given until 8 March to file his replying affidavit but no submissions have been made to the court. Do public figures have more of a responsibility to behave well as leaders who should be leading by example? Yesterday at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry, former SARS Commissioner Tom Moyane's advocate, Dali Mpofu told Pravin Gordhan's advocate, Michelle Le Roux to "shut up" as he tried to make an objection at the State Capture commission. Many people took to social media to criticize Advocate Mpofu's choice of language, stating that he is a public figure, a prominent lawyer and that he should've known better. The chairperson of the ANC Youth League's eThekwini region - Thembo Ntuli - says he believes charges against former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede and others are politically motivated.
