Access to adequate food is a serious challenge across the globe and food insecurity at tertiary institutions is another challenge. Students are currently protesting for access to free education but another challenge on their plate is access to a plate of food. The Social Justice Coalition and 22 communities from Khayelitsha are marching against the City of Cape Town over the lack of access to basic services.
