In a Zoom meeting with ‘Yo Soy Tu Mismo’ (a group of Spanish devotees of Bhagavan Sri Ramana) on 27th February 2022, Michael James first answers the questions:
----more----
I would like you to elaborate on what are the effects of not focusing on a single path and how you suggest to deal with the usual urge to be reading here and there. What are the main differences between this path and the proposals of Nisargadatta and other lines of Advaita, including those that seem to be the same like Papaji, Mooji, etc.?
and then answers more questions about this and other aspects of Bhagavan’s teachings, particularly the practice of self-investigation and self-surrender.
While answering these questions, Michael discusses the meaning and implications of various passages from Bhagavan’s writings, including Nāṉ Ār?, Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu, Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu Anubandham, Upadēśa Undiyār and Āṉma-Viddai, Śrī Aruṇācala Padigam, the note he wrote for his mother in December 1898, Śrī Aruṇācala Aṣṭakam, Uḷḷadu Nāṟpadu and Upadēśa Undiyār.
This episode can also be watched as a video, 2022-02-27 Yo Soy Tu Mismo: Michael James discusses the need to go deep in following a single path, and a more compressed audio copy in Opus format (which can be listened to in the VLC media player and some other apps) can be downloaded from here.
