The Mets have stumbled out of the gate, then stepped on a rake, and then stepped in dog doo. It was an abysmal start to the year for the squad, but there are some bright spots and maybe even some signs of life. We break down the struggles as well as the silver linings including a nice first turn through the rotation and nice performances from Brett Baty and Francisco Alvarez. There was a ton that went down during last week's trade deadline. Good teams adding, bad teams selling, the Yankees not doing anything, and the Mets just absolutely tanking. It took us a couple of days to get our emotions in check to talk reasonably and even longer to edit our marathon recap session but it is finally here! We start with the Mets of course and the new and saddening direction that the front office has taken, but then we cover the whole damn deadline. So many teams maneuvering this road in fascinating ways while the Yankees are in a ditch with the check engine light on. We touch on all 30 MLB teams in this one, so buckle up and enjoy! 

Hey baseball fans, it's trade season! The Nephews are back to cover all of your trade deadline questions. From buyers to sellers, big deals and small there is sure to be a lot of action in the coming days. As for the Mets, we last told you they needed to go 12-3 or 13-2 coming out of the break and...they haven't. Sometimes it's better to accept that a season won't end in a playoff run and then you can enjoy the games again! We each give some predictions here and some of them are humdingers! The Mets did have an exciting week and a 6 game winning streak, but lost the disappointment-bowl to the Padres and, well, one of us is already out.
