U.S. Attorney General William Barr confirmed that the Justice Department is following an “intake process” to look at and verify information about Ukraine gathered by Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal attorney.

“The Justice Department has the obligation to have an open door to anybody who wishes to provide us information that they think is relevant,” Barr told the press. “But as I did say to Senator [Lindsey] Graham ... we have to be very careful …with respect to any information coming from the Ukraine.”

The White House is releasing its budget proposal for fiscal year 2021 (starting on October 1) today, February 10, and administration officials have confirmed some key figures from the document over the weekend.

Fiscal conservatives will be dismayed by the total amount of the budget — $4.8 trillion —and will be taking a close look at it to see how much it adds to the federal debt, which has increased by $2.8 trillion since the start of the Trump administration and is projected to increase by $4.7 trillion through the end of the decade because of spending increases and tax cuts.

Since President Trump is a builder by trade, it may not be surprising that he has his eye on federal buildings — not buying them, but beautifying them. At issue is an executive order that would “make the classical style — which originated in ancient Greece and Rome — the default design for federal buildings,” the Los Angeles Times reports.  

The order, “Making Federal Buildings Beautiful Again,” was drafted by the nonprofit National Civic Art Society and “would affect the design of any federal building contracted through the General Services Administration that costs more than $50 million,” the Times also relates. The group hopes the president will sign the order, though the White House hasn’t announced a decision.

Red flag laws are supposedly implemented to take guns away from mentally disturbed gun owners, but they are based in fallacy and represent real losses of rights.

Proposals for the enactment of “red flag” laws, or “extreme risk protection orders,” as some call them, are at the top of the current list of demands by “progressives.” But two glaring fallacies underlie those proposals. One is that firearms are inherently evil, as are their owners, and catalysts for violence; while the other is the claim that such laws will not be misadministered and lead to endangering other rights.

Thirty-five lawmakers sought a response from U.S. Attorney General William Barr about reports that the Chinese Communist Party has been violating this country’s Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) for years.

The demand in the form of a letter sent last Thursday followed reports from the Washington Free Beacon in December that China Daily has for years been acting as a transmission belt for communist propaganda without complying with FARA. Said the Beacon: “China Daily, an official mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, has published hundreds of propaganda articles designed to look like ordinary news stories in some of America’s most influential newspapers.... The propaganda outlet has repeatedly violated [FARA] by failing to provide full disclosures about its purchases.”

During his victory celebrations following the Senate’s vote to acquit him of wrongdoing, President Donald Trump apologized: first for his own shortcomings, second to the American people, and finally, to his family. These apologies revealed a side of the president the mainstream media rarely presents.

Near the end of his remarks at Thursday’s Prayer Breakfast at the Washington Hilton, Trump said, “I'm sorry. I apologize. I’m trying to learn. It’s not easy. When they impeach you for nothing and then you’re supposed to like them, it’s not easy, folks. I do my best.”

What would you say about legislation requiring the government to use tax money to transport convicted criminal illegal aliens who’d already been deported back to the United States, calling it the “right to come home”?

The owners of a chocolate company in Switzerland are sticking to their Christian convictions in the face of a decision by Swiss Air Lines to drop them as a vendor. The air carrier made the decision to sever its ten-plus year business relationship with high-end chocolate manufacturer Läderach after the candy company received backlash over the Christian and pro-life values of its owners.

For more than a decade, Läderach has provided small boxes of its luxury chocolates as complimentary gifts to Swiss Air passengers. But following months of disruptive protests by LGBTQ and abortion activists against Läderach over the Christian and pro-life activism of owner Jürg Läderach and his son, company CEO Johannes Läderach, Swiss Air decided to stop doing business with Läderach. According to Swiss magazine Beobachter, a significant number of homosexuals are employed by Swiss Air Lines.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported this week that state law forced a reluctant sheriff in Orange County, California, once a hard-line conservative area that sent Republicans to Congress, to ignore more than 1,000 detainers for illegal immigrants and release a veritable army of violent illegal-alien thugs in 2019.

And officials in Charlottesville, Virginia, and New York City freed illegal-alien criminals, ICE also reported, which forced agents to find the criminals and re-arrest them.
