The New York Islanders played a fast and competitive game but the same old problems caused them to fall short in a 2-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Once again, the team had chances but couldn't finish. Special teams were anything but special and hurt the Isles and they took an untimely penalty late in the game that led directly to the game-winner.
