The NBC 10 I-Team has obtained a secretly recorded interrogation of a young Cranston firefighter, who witnessed a scuffle between his superiors. In September 2017, a firehouse fight broke out at Station No. 6 in Cranston after insults were tossed around. Lt. Scott Bergantino accused Deputy Fire Chief Paul Valletta of assault, adding that he pushed him against a wall and punched him in the head. Witnesses, including one young firefighter, had backed Bergantino's story. Rhode Island State Police arrested the deputy chief, who is also the president of IAFF Local 1363.
