I have a question for you, and it's not a popular question AND it's probably going to be uncomfortable, but I have to ask why are you in business, or rather, why did you become a business owner? Like why do you label yourself a business owner?
The reason I ask this question, and I think it's a really, really important question, is because I've had a few conversations recently around the topic of being a business owner and a stay at home mom and I've noticed that the mindset around "stay-home-mom" with an online business, isn’t viewed as a legitimate thing.
Most people view stay at home mom's with a business as you're not a business owner. You're a hobbyist. That's the whole mindset around women who are stay at home. Moms, you know, had kids first and then built a business, decided to go into business.
And the issue I see is that it doesn't matter what other people say, right. You know, this, it's a fear. It's a limiting belief, all the things around that, you know, it really doesn't matter what the opinion of somebody else's.
But the reason I ask you why you're in business is because I think that you have the same mindset. Like even though you call yourself a business owner, are you really a business owner or are you still running it as a hobby.
In this episode, I get raw and honest about my own mindset and struggles with this topic. Diving deeper into the limiting beliefs around being Mom first and business owner second.

…I was stuck in this spiral of a mindset as well. This circle, that’s getting me nowhere. After this last year and all of the things that I've been consuming, I learned that I needed to stop viewing my business as a hobby. I had to take it seriously. If I want my clients to take me seriously and serve to the best of my abilities, I need to take myself seriously … I used to say, if I had designed something, anything that I've designed, if you need it adjusted, I won't charge you for that. I've said that for years. And then I realized I wasn't getting anywhere because I was in this mindset of, well, I'm just going to serve, right. … But ended up happening was.....
You'll have to listen to find out what happened ;)
