This week, we have with us Care's dog soul sister - Sara McGlothlin - a holistic health coach, co-owner of Barre VA, and an enthusiastic cavalier owner. Tune in as we blend Sara's practical side -- her love for business, calculus, and solving puzzles -- with her "woo-woo" side -- talking about the law of attraction, paying attention to synchronicities, and taking the entrepreneurial road less traveled to follow her bliss. You know Care + Suz are both hyped to talk the yin and yang of this multi-faceted, inspiring woman! We talk the reality of the phrase, "if you build it they will come" - maybe not?; the hustle and blood, sweat and tears of beginning a business; and, the difference between building a brick and mortar biz and building a personal coaching clientele. Health wise - you don't want to miss the importance of taking control of your "nutritional stress," prioritizing your health in challenging times, and learning to stare fear in the face and believe in yourself. Sara teaches us about becoming her own cheerleader, understanding synchronicity and the law of attraction and the importance of self-care. And -- you want to figure out how she does it all for she is currently galavanting in Europe for 2.5 months with her husband! WHAAAAATTT?!?!?!
Plus, you don't want to miss Suz's awkwardness of introducing the podcast for the first time solo. Growing pains. Please listen and support Care + Cody (Caroline's pride + joy cav) as Suz updates us on why Care's not introducing the show with her this week. And -- you want to hear more about where we continue to see the show going, our recent YouTube realization, and Suz's countdown to entrepreneurial freedom. We appreciate you. Thanks for listening!

This week Care and Suz 'DIG' into herbalism with Laura Baum of Laura's Botanicals and co-founder of the Richmond Herbalism Guild. While Care + Suz can barely keep their plants alive and are blissfully unaware of the world of herbalism, Laura patiently and passionately articulates her craft as a certified herbalist, the learnings, knowledge and interactive model she uses with her mentees of Laura's Botanicals, and she chats about the multi-generational community growing via the Richmond Herbalism Guild.
We learn about Ayurveda - an ancient system of medicine, the benefits of Rose, hear about flower essences, concoctions, elixirs, and a poltus (?), and it's discussed why it's important to be in relationship with our plants. On this journey, we consider the resurgence of holistic health and the "magic of grandma" - as we look back at the healing modalities of our ancestors compared to the medical models of today. Herbs can increase the quality of life - even if just our mental outlooks and PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED. We hear how Laura and Allie's audience at the Richmond Herbalism Guild continues to build organically. Throughout this episode, Laura provides bits of wisdom, like that "nature can pretty much take care of itself," referring to both business and the outdoors. Suz + Care learn that they might be too type A for a plant or that Caroline is smothering them. And, did you know - onions can cure an earache? Now you do.
You don't want to miss the tale of the escaped cavalier and Caroline's first ENGAGED LEGAL announcement. Plus, we debunk systems, translate organic experiences into digital spaces, and discuss project management tools.

We're BAAAAAAAAAAACK!
This week we've got KARMA SHANTI, and Care + Suz (well, mostly Care) get schooled on how to present a service people don't know they need or don't even believe in. Karma keeps it real about meeting your clients on a level that they can connect with you-- a skill for any service-based biz. Also, we talk about some WOO WOO, putting Suzi in a trance-like state of blissed-out happiness. PLUS, the girls address failure, our epic file f*ck up, GUMMY BEAR CLEANSES, and learning to roll with the punches.

SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY!
HAPPY TUESDAY! This episode is kinda like your period.... it's a little late, but boy are you GLAD it's here!
Technical issues aside, this is a SUPERFUN episode with AMY BRACHMAN of SUPERFUN YOGA PANTS! Her story is a modern-day Cinderella story, except instead of trying on a glass slipper, it was a pair of pants. Follow her journey from uber-corporate America to entrepreneur as she details the struggle to define yourself post- corner office. PLUS, she asks the tough questions, like "what's life like when you can't sell mac-and-cheese anymore?" Sprinkled with equal parts sparkle and reality, Amy has great insights from the front lines of scaling a company. FANGIRL ALERT!
ALSO: Suzi beatboxes, we give a shoutout to several way cool podcast fans, and Care contemplates body language in the workplace.
WE will SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY!! (on time...)

It's finally Care's turn behind the mic! Suz uses all of her hard hitting questions, including "Where did your nickname "Carolinamoonie" come from?" and "What's it like being a podcast co-host?" along with other boring stuff like "What's it like being an attorney?" Join Care as she discusses what it's like to leave a job, turn down a bunch of zeros, go out on your own, and practice law. If law is a man's world, Care's learning to THRIVE in it!
More extra special chatter involves dogs, childhood ambitions, what it's like to live in a frat house, that time Caroline swiped Elon Universiry President Leo Lambert's name tag, and the definition of a "flying trapeze ballerina."

It's a SLUMBER PARTY this week as the Next Tuesday ladies interview SHAWNEE CUSTALOW of A Lovely Photo in Suzi's office/ guest room on her big fluffy guest bed covered in a fur comforter. Shawnee is not only an amazingly talented photographer, she's also the mastermind behind "Love Yrself," a donation-based event supporting Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project. "Love Yrself" gave donors the chance to take part in a self-love photo shoot, where participants engaged in photo sessions designed to highlight their own brand of beautiful. What started as a fundraiser turned into an all-day girl-power love fest full of straight up magic bonding experiences. SPOILER ALERT: Care and Suz took part, albeit in very different ways!
PLUS: Caroline cries on air, Suzi morphs into a glamour girl for the camera, Jack Lemon the Beagle makes a grab for the mic, and the girls have REAL TALK about body dysmorphia, struggles with food, and working to #LOVEYrself!

From AOL to owning a yoga studio in downtown Richmond, Suzanne Burns takes us on her journey of entreprenuership that is nothing short of courageous. We tackle the hustle and grind of what REALLY goes into being a yoga instructor, (hint: It's a LOT more than Care knew) learning to literally and figuratively go with the flow, and-- just when you think you know her story-- Suzanne drops a bombshell that turned her business owner journey upside-down.
PLUS: Care and Suz (SuzI, your host, not SuzANNE, our guest-- keep it straight, y'all!) discuss spring cleaning, serial killer documentaries, and Care mentions her elusive love life for the first time!
