There’s no better time to partake in radical self-care than after the holidays to reboot before the New Year begins. Today we’re chatting all things biz, healing, and the combination of the two with Natasha Foreman of Lucid Living RVA and Lucid Punk Apparel, who dreams of a world where self-care is no longer a radical practice of love, but a universal norm.
We learn from Natasha that we can be both type A and a source of calm and love and that we don’t have to sacrifice our go for it attitude for balance and inner peace. We do, however, have to be willing to do the work!
In this jam-packed convo you’ll get the DL on Thai bodywork, Reiki + Reiki infused clothing, Sound Therapy, and Yoni Steaming (our favorite). You’ll learn why yoga is a gateway drug to infinite healing modalities and how the process of awakening can alter one’s sense of purpose in the world, while considering the practical aspects of purchasing commercial real estate, building your team, delving into E-commerce, focusing on inclusivity, and creating an intentional community ready and willing to work on themselves and create more love in our world. Listen now!

We’re heading into the holidays speaking with Rupa Singh, the owner of Love This, an ethical boutique focusing on goods that do good. We navigate this season of giving with a conversation about the social, environmental and economic impact of consumerism and how we can create positive impact in society with our dollars.
You can’t help but want to become more aware in your consumption as you listen to Rupa passionately share her knowledge on ethical fashion and sustainability. We hear how she chooses product, decides on the profit margin, utilizes social media, and considers the future of ethical fashion. And, she runs her business out of an air stream – how cool is that?!
How do we make our society more ethical? How can we care more about the makers, our environment, and our economy? What do we teach our children about conscious consumerism and why it’s important? Rupa sheds her light on these questions, while allowing us to start where we are and participate in whatever way resonates with our individual lives.

How do you manage your health over the holidays? This week we’re gaining some mega health inspiration from a Mother-Daughter pair, Jennifer Tremblay + Samantha Eaton. Jennifer + Samantha are both Certified Nutritional Health Coaches who support and inspire one another in their individual entrepreneurial endeavors to educate people on how to treat the body as a whole.
Samantha explains to us the difference between a nutritionist and a health coach and counting calories versus intuitive eating, while Jennifer educates us on the benefit of essential oils and how to use them safely. We talk corporate world to solo-preneuring, the catalyst events for entering the holistic health realm, becoming a “recovering perfectionist”, and we discover what “Mom-googles” are. We learn that both Jennifer and Samantha have always had the entrepreneurial spirit throughout their education and careers and we gain their perspectives on how to become successful entrepreneurial women in the holistic health field.
Caroline asks rapid fire questions to yield alternatives to dairy, ice cream, pizza, mac n’ cheese, peanut butter and juice, while Suz wants to know what 3 essential oils are staples for the household. Looking for some motivation to moderate your holiday eating? Tune in!

Do you feel like you have permission to tell your whole story? What does that even mean? This week, we chat with Michelle Mercurio who believes that everyone has a story, but not everyone feels they have permission to tell it. Michelle has made it her mission to help people create and share their authentic stories, while helping people and businesses get paid in the process.
We talk about the power of our stories and the transformational nature that story can create. We learn how Michelle went from a corporate career to becoming an inner-city teacher to creating an entrepreneurial endeavor that facilitates self-discovery as marketing potential. Have you ever paused to reflect on your story or explore the power that exists within and surrounding your narrative? Here's your chance.
Michelle inspires us with the stories she shares and we love discussing all things business, titles, saying no to what we’re “supposed” to do, and the mental breakdown that can sometimes be the reality of entrepreneurship.

How do you want your grandchildren to think of you? Today, we learn from Rose McAdoo how that question shapes each decision she makes to create her inspiring and adventurous life. Knowing that she wanted to be a pastry chef at 13, Rose takes us step by step of her career to current day NYC + Whisk Me Away Cakes.
We hear Rose forge her own path and cultivate the experiences necessary for her professional growth. She demonstrates how to jump into experiences without getting caught up in self-doubt and she inspires us to try whatever we’re interested in learning more about. We learn about grit, hard work, showing up and the importance of building strong working relationships. But, mostly, we hear Rose’s love for the food world and the experiences she's had.
We also hear about one of the most significant experiences Rose has had working with a Refugee Resettlement Program in New York. The deep and meaningful friendships created through this program have impacted her career, relationships and family. The experience with the refugee and asylum seeking population sparked the impetus for Whisk Me Away Cakes. Rose bridges desserts and story telling to create more awareness of the stories, cultures, lifestyles, and experiences across the globe through treats. Today we are inspired by Molly Korte whose son's autism diagnosis lit a fire in her heart to initiate her life's purpose in advocacy. Molly began Project: Just Like You as a social media campaign to showcase the stories of the neurodiverse community to demonstrate how similar we all are. Within a year of the campaign, she has turned her passion project into a non-profit and sits as the Executive Director of Project: Just Like You.
We love speaking with Molly about her business because this conversation is real, inspiring and emotional. We learn what it was like for Molly to discover that her son is different and the process of seeing Autism as a gift. We explore our biggest fears as visceral knowings of something to come and we consider why things happen the way they do. And, we discuss the necessity for more compassion and kindness in our world as we learn to breakdown barriers and prejudices with one another so that we may create connection and foster engagement to truly see each other.
Listen as we talk about "Mom Wins", how to create a non-profit, how and if the spectrum of Autism is the "new human", and how we can all strive to live Project: Just Like You's mission to change the world one story at a time.

Today we speak with Jackie Radford, a book artist in Charlotte, NC, who inspires us with her courage to step out of her comfort zone and into the sea of possibilities. We learn from Jackie what it’s like to look within + identify what we might really want for ourselves, despite what that might sound like to those closest to us, and move forward to support our dreams with no regrets.
We stare fear in the face in this conversation, while acknowledging where it can still hold us back. We talk traditional roles + the “new feminism,” and the inspiration and challenges that come via self-examination. This episode is packed with information about the history of books from how to utilize oils for self-care to being real about experiencing guilt when not fitting into stereotypical societal expectations.
