I try not to abuse my power as a webcaster very often but there are times when one has to break their own rules. So, here's the deal. Dreamfleet makes planes for Flight Sim 9 and X that kick ass. Reality XP makes gauges for Dreamfleet planes (and all FS and X-Plane aircraft) that kicks ass; namely, a great GPS sim that uses the Garmin trainer software for full functionality. I really hate flying in the sim without a working GPS or FMC. It is just the way I do things. So now I need your help.

Out of the box Dreamfleet planes come with Reality XP gauges, which is great! The problem is these gauges won’t function if you have a 64 bit Operating System (Win XP 64, Vista 64, Win 7 64, etc). Since this is the case for many simmers out there, including me, I think something should be done!  

So, please send feedback to Reality XP asking them to release a payware update for Dreamfleet planes that makes their new GPS system compatible with these aircraft. That way we all can enjoy these products.

The Bonanza V35, the predecessor to the Bonanza A and G 36 of today (my favorite GA aircraft) is a great GA plane with lots of airspeed and ease of operation. In this epsiode we go from Chico to Vancover BC in the PMDG 737-700. This one is a little short as tends to be the case with the 737 hops but still a lot of fun.

This flight take us from London to Las Vegas in the PMDG 747-400. Due to poor FMC programming the approach had to be shot several times. You get to hear the time that worked.

In this episode I talk about my recent decision to sell my car “Senior Feo”. I talk about where this choice fits in among other choices that I have made in the last several weeks. This led me to pontificate on micro-goals and macro-goals (long term and short term goals if you want to be boring) and how we judge our progress on these goals to be a reflection of our place in society. This really was a candidate for “Growing Up With Transitions IV” but I’ll save that title for another episode….
