The simplest explanation is that The Jingle Boys is a musical Christmas card created by a group of friends, for their friends and family to enjoy. Based in the Los Angeles region, The Jingle Boys cannot be described as a band, but as a music collective. Each musician, composer, singer or lyricist has their own style, their own unique spin that they bring to the tradition of holiday music. The collaborations change year to year, as do the musicians that participate. The genres and styles are all over the map, and the inside jokes and pop-culture quotes are too numerous to count.

You won’t see The Jingle Boys featured on the television, nor will you find them gigging in the brutal LA music scene. You have to know someone who knows someone to get this music, which is why you are here.

I sit down with Libertarian artist, Jordan Page!

Notes:

Jordan Page is a national recording and touring artist who performs a mixture of rock and folk music that has captivated audiences all over the world.  He is known for headlining at major protests and rallies in support of freedom, peace, and limited government.  His lyrical poetry is as poignant as it is spiritual, and is matched only by his incredible guitar skills and melodic baritone.  

As a political activist, Page has championed many freedom causes ranging from anti-war initiatives to gun rights to medical cannabis freedom to Bitcoin, and he is known as a leading voice of liberty in America.  

Jordan first arrived on the national scene through the Ron Paul movement and shared the stage with Congressman Ron Paul 20 times as his opener during his presidential campaigns in 08 and 12.  He has headlined at hundreds of rallies and events in support of peace and individual liberty since then and his iconic anthems Liberty, Message of Freedom, and Pendulum continue to inspire freedom-loving people to stand up against corruption and immoral wars.

I sit down with Jonny from Small Town Titans!

Notes:

The Small Town Titans are a power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a new wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple.  Thanks to their efforts at assembling their own studio in a basement, STT can create and release songs, podcasts, live online concerts, and more with no rules. This artistic change in attitude stems from touring for the better part of 2 years, and realizing how difficult it really is.

After coming home from their last 30 day run, the band had made $4,000. After repairing their vehicle, restocking their merchandise and more, the band was left with $1,000. After putting most of that back into the band’s funds as usual, each member took home $150. This startling reality made STT take a step back and evaluate themselves as a band, a brand, and a business. After firing their manager, the boys soldiered on with the help of their team at Round 2 Records. They began to truly treat Small Town Titans as a legitimate small business more than ever before. Unnecessary expenses were cut, and more creative and innovative sources of new revenue were explored, such as utilizing the direct to fan creation platform Patreon, where the band is currently making $200 every time they release a new song on YouTube.

Instead of trying to make a million fans, STT is focusing on the fans they already have. With a love for playing live, a Small Town Titans show has evolved into more than a concert. It’s an event, with a set list that’s decided right before the show, and plenty of stage banter in between songs. The band simply hits the stage to deliver an energy driven show using guitars, drums, and their voices. Nothing more, nothing less. This approach to their live performances has led to them sharing the stage with acts such as Highly Suspect, Papa Roach, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.

By focusing on their engagement on social media and managing themselves, Small Town Titans are growing like never before and having more success as a business and a brand. The band just wrapped up a weekend long recording session at Hybrid Studios with friend Kevin Soffera, drummer for Seether on the 5x platinum selling record “Disclaimer II”, and who STT also recorded their last album “Reflection” with.  Six brand new songs were recorded live in the studio, as well as professionally filmed by Springwood Productions at the same time. These new songs and videos will be released throughout the rest of 2017 and 2018. Songs range from the hard hitting “Me, Myself, and Monster” and “Wreck” to the ballad “Dragonfly”, an emotional song written in memory of Phil’s mother, who passed away earlier this year due to cancer, performed live with just one voice and an acoustic guitar.

Small Town Titans are actively forming a team of like minded individuals in the new music business who are just as driven and passionate as they are, rather than waiting to be discovered. Dust Bowl - American Stories is an Americana/American Roots album is set squarely in the middle of the Oklahoma panhandle during the 1930s, when a terrible drought and the Great Depression struck at the same time. The stories that come out of these travails are full of hope and despair, optimism and regret... the full range of human emotions and experiences.

The album's basic tracks were cut in New York, and features great players from Cyndi Lauper's band, as well Lorenza Ponce on violin (Adele, Bon Jovi, Sam Smith) and Tommy Mandel (Bryan Adams, Dire Straits). Overdubs were cut in Nashville and feature great players like Rob Ickes on dobro (Merle Haggard, Earl Scruggs, Alison Krauss, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Patty Loveless, Mary Chapin Carpenter), Mike Johnson on pedal steel (Reba McEntire, Faith Hill, Brad Paisley. Carrie Underwood, Rhonda Vincent, George Strait, Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr.), Steve Stokes on fiddle (John Michael Montgomery, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner - currently playing with ALABAMA on tour), Jeff Taylor on accordion (The Time Jumpers, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Harry Connick Jr., Keith and Kristyn Getty, Amy Grant, George Strait, Martina McBride, Buddy Greene, Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs), and more.

Brothers Zac, Adam, and Dan Hall formed The Longest Hall in the winter (a season otherwise known as "dry" in the oppressive swamps of Central Florida) of 2017. Driven by their lifelong love of music created by the masters of punk, thrash, ska, and metal that came before them, the brothers soon began work on their first album. It's title, inspired by literary mastermind and world renowned satirist Douglas Adams' magnum opus, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, is both counsel and caution. Don't Panic! is a 13 track collection of tunes dating as far back as 10 years in their history playing together, and recorded by the inimitable Lee Dyess at Earthsound Studios. They can be found playing shows all around Florida, the United States, planet Earth, and on display at the permanent (although who knows what that means anyway?) human exhibit on Tralfamadore. Shock Value is a dynamic four-piece indie-alternative rock band from Hazleton, Pennsylvania, founded in 2013 by lifelong friends Joey Letcher (lead vocals, keys) and Mike Dino (guitar). Soon adding Matt Malloy (drums) and Seth Harkins (bass), they have created a tight-knit lineup that prides itself on artistic collaboration, engaging live performances, a wide spectrum of musical influence, and a commitment to sharing their story with others.
