God calls us to a life of discipleship.  To show us what He wants us to be like He sends us His very own Son, Jesus.  To be a disciple of Jesus is to be disciplined to be like Him.

Most of us know how important family is to our life.  God does too!  He wants us to understand and know that we are His family.  God calls us together to be His Church, brothers and sisters in Christ.  Today we talk about what that means.

God has put us on earth to fulfill 5 important purposes for our life.  Today we look at the first purpose that God wants us to see.  He wants us to see that we were planned for His pleasure.  God calls us to worship Him!

Life can become very confusing to people and then they begin to even wonder why they are alive. God does not want us to live with that uncertainty.  God gives us His Word so that we might have our eyes open to the value and importance of our life.  Maybe you have asked that question:  "What On Earth Am I Here For?"  If you are asking that question today then you definitely need to come to worship and here this message.

Ladder Vs Garment

Of all the things you could think about for having a great life, you would have to think about love, because as St. Paul says, "Without love, what have you got?  Nothing!"  The thing is though is that our idea of love and God's idea of love may not be on the same page!  Today we will talk about that!

Living with purpose leads to having a great life.  But not just any purpose will do!  God gives us 5 purposes to seek to fulfill as we live out our life.  These purposes lay the foundation for a successful and satisfying life.

The greatness of your life is directly tied to the way you understand who you are.  The key to having a great life is to hear what God says about who you are, and then take that to heart.  Hearing what God has to say could change your life!

This message takes last week's message and expands it so we see more clearly how we can run the race that we have been given to run for the greatest results...a great life!  God wants to increase our skill in knowing how fast or how slow we should go as we are running because "Timing Is Everything!"

I thought that the Olympics this past summer were great! Such incredibly great people competed! One thing you will find in every one of them, and that is the spirit to “keep on keeping on”. Such a spirit is a gift from God and God he wants you to have that Spirit in you. That is what I want to talk about today.
