On today's show, we welcome a new co-host. Our brother from the Cover Mother, Liam from the "Give 'Em Liam" Podcast and owner ofr the Cover Network! A tragic Raiders fan, Liam joins us to discuss all things top 8 footy and much more.
Starting, a bit differently this week, the lads break down the roadmap to the Raiders making the top 8 and what the vibe is like in Canberra currently. Outside of cold, Liam smells a little optimism in the air. The lads then progress onto the Yeah/Nah report. They cover everything from the price of Ben Hunt to the Melbourne Storm deflecting in the media with their smaller signings.
Then, the fun stuff. The Pre-review comes along after a bit of gab and dribble, and the boys begin to construct their PlayUp multi. Convincing themselves into a Thursday night upset, the lads discuss how the Brisbane Broncos will get up over the Parramatta Eels. Then, the gloves are off, and the lads consider taking the 7.00 odds for the Penrith Panthers to put 51+ on the New Zealand Warriors. The North Queensland Cowboys get a good rap from Matty B (surprise, surprise) but Liam indulges him as he needs the South Sydney Rabbitohs to lose for his Raiders. Finally, the lads get to the sub-par Sunday games and what have we done to deserve these games? 16th v 10th and then 15th v 14th. If you guys need us, we are totally available to watch paint dry as it will be more entertaining. Scoring fests here and plenty of points to be had. Gamble responsibly.
All this and much, much more on this weeks second episode! A huge thanks to Liam for coming to hang out, you are welcome anytime!
In a twisting and twirling turn of events, the lads made it to their 100th episode! Get the clap sound effects out because today is going to be a big one! Jam packed with all your favourite segments, episode 100 comes at you with a bang! Be sure to listen for the announcements!
Tipping off the show, the lads deep dive into their weekends as usual from the stories of Brookvale. As we all know, a great place to watch football and even better place to see angry fans lose it at their own football team. From there, the lads progress into a contentious Team of the Week (TOTW). With some questions about a few Parramatta Eels not being selected, the Sherpa is slightly upset but assured the Doc Guy knows what he is doing! NRL Fantasy talk rolls around and the room is divided. Matty B gets to talk about his Finals prowess. Lachy has to launch an investigation on the whole operation!
The ladies of 5thanddribble special guest and jump on the show to play a little "Hot or Not". The list, based on TheNRLRoast's "Top 100 Roasted" boys, show some mixed results! Some you would expect got a scorching 4 out of 4 hot score and some shockingly got a 0 out of 4. I think the most shocking result was Joseph Manu!
The lads transition into their regularly scheduled programming and discuss the week of blowouts that is was! Changing up the format slightly, the lads discuss from one blowout to another and some of the bizarre trends that happened. This was including the Sydney Roosters scoring 72 on the Wests Tigers B-U-T Joseph Sua'ali'i not scoring somehow. The same could be said for Xavier Coates in the Melbourne Storm's towelling of the Brisbane Broncos. The North Queensland Cowboys got a nice like win at home ramping into the Finals. However, the Cronulla Sharks are firmly on their tails causing the question "Who will lock up the top 2?".
Full of laughs, tales and Matty B highlighting his close personal friendship with Reed Mahoney, the lads had a lot fo fun with this one and hope you do too!
In today's show, the lads go on a little tangent about their Aussie love affair with Weetbix. They open up the listeners to a few other ways that you can eat Weetbix and how many is physically possible for the human body to handle! From there, the lads pitch a new business idea as the "Time Thieves" (TM). Slide into the DM's if you need assistance there!
In all seriousness though, the lads take a bit of a dive on the week that has unfolded. As we all know there have been some shambles in Newcastle between a few Newcastle Knights players and conflicting stories. There have been some issues in the South of France with the one and only Stormin' Corey Norman. This then encourages the lads to discuss their shortlist on who would be a part of the new fashion tycoon: You Know The Rectum. But seriously, 8 weeks for that, governor? The lads talk about stamping out hate slurs and trolls in the NRL and so much more!
Later on, in the Pre-Review, they get down to brass taxes. The South Sydney Rabbitohs are in red hot form and face a wavering Penrith Panthers. The North Queensland Cowboys are hitting up a sky-high New Zealand Warriors up north. The Cronulla Sharks are facing a flightless Manly Sea Eagles who seem down on their haunches on and off the field. There is wiggle room at the top. Who will make the push this weekend?

On today's show the lads recognise that it is a little less fun doing a show about Rugby League when all of your teams lose, but hey.. someone has to do it.
The boys start off, as always, about their weekends and what escapades they allegedly got up to in the city. This then somehow turns into Matty B's driving record and the Sherpa chimes in about what he has allegedly got up to behind the wheel as well. From there the lads take a bit of a turn from the humour to get down and serious. Please make sure you tune in, sign and share the petition for #NRLMEntalHEalthAwarenessRound wherever you can!
To perk back up, the lads start to break down the Team of the Week and Matty B finally gets to rub in the fantasy win of all fantasy wins. Lachy lost in the NRL and in Fantasy.. how bloody good. TOTW featured some favourites in Trell Mitt, Selwyn Cobbo (on a called hat-trick by Matty B), Cam Murray and Dave Fifita. It also had some newbies in AJ Brimson, and Hudson 'Hung' Young! Tune in to hear the rest!
From there, the lads broke out into their reviews for the week! The Melbourne Storm, South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters were not nice to the boys this weeked. Lachy had to relive all the pain and stress from Thursday night football where the Penrith Panthers were held to a goose egg. The Sherpa had to relive all the pain and stress from Friday night his Parramatta Eels did the same. And, Matty B chatted about how it feels for his team to cross the try line but just how big, powerful and scary the Sydney Roosters are as they all turned up to beat his North Queensland Cowboys.
All this, plenty of banter, and much more to cover in all the other games! Make sure you tune in!
On today's show, the lads run a little shorter than normal but you get all the same banter, projections and sh*t talking.
The lads start off a little rocky as they send of Olivia Newton John, their 80's crush that go the heart rate going. Vale Olivia. The lads then break down all the things going on in the league this week from the Ricky Stuart suspension all the way to rumours about John Bateman returning. In there, they cover the Sam Verrills signing to the Gold Coast Titans, the potential of an Isaiah Papali'i backflip and Manly's hopes of making the 8.
Later in the show, the lads break down everything Round 22. Will the Panthers continue to win without their amazing halves pairing? Who gets the choccies out of the game of the round between the Parramatta Eels and South Sydney Rabbitohs? How the heck are the North Queensland Cowboys underdogs aagainst the Sydney Roosters? And finally, will the Ricky meltdown cause a Raiders fade against the St George Illawarra Dragons? All these questions are answers, and more, on this episode of 5th and Dribble.
On today's show, the lads do a deep dive on all of Lach's escapades over the last week. WILSON! WILSON! Matty B enlightens the listeners on all things that are allegedly done at the 21st birthday party. Football is chatted about and Ricky Stuart is mentioned ... at the very least.
As always, the lads started off the Review Pod with a little recap of their weekend that rolled into Team of the Week. Matty B is still not sure how there isn't a Cowboy in there. Surely a chat with the Social's Guy has to be had. Rolling straight into Friday Footy Tip Off, and then Fantasy talk, the pod get's a little derailed as the lads try and figure out how the Finals are working for Fantasy. If you know, can you tell us?
The lads then start to talk all things football and Round 21 review. Highlights of the round included: Jakob Arthur being pretty good at football. The put down by Waqa Blake was unreal and shut up some of our Parramatta "faithful". The Panthers gave the Raiders the business, including Salmon gives Starling a kick to the Starlings. Sadly, this did not end there with Ricky Stuart having a few choice words work the "weak-gutted dog man". This leads the lads to speculate the punishment that may be handed down after 48 hours of "Nup, I'm not sorry". The North Queensland Cowboys prove they are a premiership threat to a red hot Canterbury Bulldogs who will be a big problem in 2023. Finally, the toilet bowl of a game between the Wests Tigers and the Pongettes (Newcastle Knights) ... yes, we talk about that too.
All this and more on this week's Tuesday Show! Like where you can like, follow where you can follow and look out for the Patreon.
On today's second show of the week, the lads go hard in the paint with a pre-review of the 21st round in the NRL which has massive implications on the way seeding will go!
BUT FIRST! The Yeah/Nah report! The lads break down all things to do with Patrick Carrigan's suspension, changing lineups with all these damn transfers and a Samoan Rugby League side that might challenge for the World Cup! Was 4 weeks enough? Is there more that the NRL can be doing on hip drop tackles? How does Lach feel about transfers? All these questions and more are answered in the Yeah/Nah report!
Then the lads begin to break down all things Pre-Review leading into Round 21 of the NRL. The Roosters see the Broncos at home which divides the boys because both teams had a shocking week last week. The Titans are fighting for their lives not to win the spoon but face an almost full strength Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles look to upset the Parramatta Eels, starring Jakob Arthur, at 4PINES Park, but really the game result is a coin flip! The Rabbitohs look to solidify themselves as Provan-Summons contenders as they look to get back on track and pound the Vodafone Warriors. The North Queensland Cowboys look to make their mark on the red-hot Canterbury Bulldogs, but watch out because Josh Addo-Carr and Matt Burton might have something to say about that!
All this and much much more, as we take a deep dive on the wooden spoon contenders, on this episode of 5th and Dribble!
On todays show the boys have a lot to cover and not a lot of time to do it in. Strap in or strap on ... she going to be a ride.
As always, the lads start with a prayer, weekends and all the good stuff. Lach is adjusting to teacher life and the Sherps is maintaining the day to day. All the while, Matty B had a big one on the town over the weekend. Sleep deprivation is a dog.
The lads then break into all things Team of the Week with a few new faces. Jackson Hastings is the smallest lock in TOTW history, Braidon Burns cracks his first one and a couple common faces like Valentine Holmes and Joe Tapine sure up their spots in the Team of the Year. From there Friday Footy Tip Off is both the same and Fantasy both lads had a win. Don't look now but Matty has just snuck into the finals.
From there, the lads talk all things review. Starting with the break down the mishap of the Manly 7 and an underwhelming Sydney Roosters. Secondly, they talk about how Nelson Asofa-Solamona and Josh King should be side-lined for extended time. Thirdly, breaking down all things Parramatta Eels and Penrith Panthers, including Nathan Cleary's send off and the near future for both clubs halves packages. Grossly, the Titans and Raiders were underwhelming as always but the Wests Tigers getting up over the Brisbane Broncos put some lead in our pencils. How do we rate the Jordan Riki try celebration even when your down to the wooden spooners? Lastly, the discuss the Bulldogs toying with the Pongettes over a King Kiraz hat-trick and the Cowboys romped the Dragons, but we expected that.
All this and much more on today's show, so listen below!
A quickie from the lads as Lach lurks back out from the shadows!
We had to get on and chat about the Manly 7 ... just cause. A few people have reached out to the lads asking them to discuss so they jumped on the bandwagon and did. What the ...
The lads then break down all things pre-review and tip their winners and margins!
On today's show, the lads ran an audible and a familiar voice joined the podcast. Matty B jumped on The Daily Dribble Podcast for a bit of a basketball yarn as we know that is what you guys have been craving a bit of!
The lads discuss a few offseason trades, like where Kevin Durant might end up. We talked about Kyrie Irving backflipping on his word over and over again ... but only briefly as we did not want to have a stroke. Then Nic brought to the table a few questions that stumped Matty B. The Dribblers broke down a few under/over aceivers that they see in the future and Matty B brought to the table his two front runners for Most Improved Player 22/23: Keldon Johnson and Saddiq Bey! Oh, and Josh Giddey chat is a must when these two get together!
Call David Bowie because we ended up in the labyrinth talking KFC secret menu, Fantasy basketball and the over/under on the La Lakers. L-O-V-E some Lakers bashing!
