  • #91 Tuesday Show | Return of the Sherpa

Long live the Sherpa! The Sherpa returns and tells us all about his galivanting around Melbourne with none other than Manchester United. He then takes a sweet detour out West to the alleged foot of a large hill and has a look around at the facilities there. He may or may not have seen some premiership trophies, it is all alleged as you know!

The lads then roll into how they start all numero uno shows and talk all things Team of the Week. This week, a winger captain who had 3 run away tries, lets trot baby! Then, Friday Footy Tip-Off, where Matty should be up but was hoaxed otherwise, and a Fantasy update #LongLiveTheKing.

The lads start today with the Sherpa tales and then run straight into the Fiasco in Townsville. Ashley Klein robbed another New South Wales team of a victory against a Queensland team and Matty has some very choice words. Ever heard an NRL fan admit they should have lost? You might here. We then head back to the top of the show where we cover all things Round 19. The lads chat about their weekend at various footy games, including Penrith v Sharks and Bulldogs v Titans. This ranges from Nathan being underwhelming (or so the Piss King thinks) and Tino getting sprayed within an inch of hi life. But, we still love you Tino.

All this and much much more in our first ever video appearance! (Check the socials, @5thanddribble)

  • #90 Thursday Show | Pre-Review and Waffles

On today's show, it is time to pre-review everything that is Round 19!

The lads start off by assessing the massive ins and outs. Most notable and game turning are probably Payne Haas and the Bali Brothers, AKA the Penrith Panthers 7 Origin representatives. From there we got on a tangent about holidays and wonder if the mid-season break is a good idea. The Parramatta Eels, aka the Woy Woy Eels, decided to do a middle of the season trip and scrutiny has started again about Brad Arthur losing the player group. Why does nobody talk about the fact he names his son and then only plays 3 guys off of his bench? Lunacy.

When breaking down the games we stumble across a fun little game "Who would Connor Tracey start for?" and the answers might surprise you. And as always, make sure to look our for us in Penrith at the Panthers versus Sharks game, and also in Parramatta for Bulldogs and Titans? Why are we going to the Sunday game, you might ask? Well, it is because we are sickos and want to see a Burto Bomb, Tino versus TPJ and really have nothing better to do.

The lads introduce a new segment this week: "Free Real Estate". What are the things that keep you up at night? Why did Donkey just assume Shrek had a waffle iron? When do you start referring to double-sided pages as one page and not two? These are the questions we need answers to.

All this and much more in this Thursday show of the ages.

  • #89 Tuesday Show | OJ and Hot Showers

On this fine Tuesday, be prepared for some dribble and yarn. The lads discuss all things around curing a cold, including and not limited to destroying a 2L bottle of orange juice. Public service announcement: Don't be that gronk that buys pulp free OJ. You know who you are.

The lads chat their weekend as they always do which involves 5-0 soccer, the adventures of someone with a recovering ACL injury and a rushed score out of 10 on the new Thor movie. Chris Hemsworth, a dear friend.

Then the lads get into some footy. Breaking down the TOTW, captained by a stellar performance from Joey Manu at his first go in the 6 but it could have also been Latrell Mitchell after he snatched Burton and Foxx's souls. A few blood-baths on the weekend including the Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles running up the scores on the St George Dragons and the Newcastle Knights. ON that, how poor are Newcastle? My goodness. Good luck over the next 5 years Kalyn. Toughies.

From there, the lads discuss all things Papenhuyzen and the shitty run of injuries he has had. The break into a song and dance about how devastating Latrell Mitchell was against the entire Bulldogs pack. There is also discussion of a little wager that could go down.

Tune in for all things dribble.

  • #88 "Thursday" Show | Depressed and Blue

In today's show the boys have mustered up the courage to talk about something that is keeping them blue ... the Origin loss.

The stats were pretty down the middle. Similar run meters, similar carries, and similar missed tackles. But we know how this story ends, with Ben Hunt running away and Isaah Yeo chasing him to a Queensland victory. The hard questions need to be asked: Will Freddy be fired? Did Luai play himself out of the Number 6 jersey last night? Would our Overnight Origin line-up have gotten the job done?

Tune in and cry with us.

  • #87 Tuesday Show | Overnight Origin

On today's oval ball we are 33.3% there, and you'll have to listen to find out the rest.

The lads break down all things oval ball this Tuesday from a slow bye round with a few upsets and underwhelming performances. From the Cronulla Sharks securing the North Queensland Cowboys into top 2 footy, to Tariq Sims trying to take of Adam Reynolds head we have it all covered!

The lads, as always, chat all things TOTW, Friday Footy Tip Off and Fantasy football before getting into a lightning round of Reviews for round 17. Possibly our worst TOTW yet but you be the judge of that! We then head into a new segment of Overnight Origin as there has been a bunch of COVID-19 and injuries sweeping through both camps. Disclaimer here: the teams were selected before the replacements for Munster and Taulagi were reported on!

Once we go through these teams and talk about how Freddy Knows Best, but still probably wouldn't select the props we have chosen, we break down all things Origin. Is it pivotal for the Blues to win? Is there an asterisk next to this series now Munster is out? Will the Blues win at Suncorp in a decider for the first time since 2005?

Tune in to hear out thoughts!

  • #86 Thursday Show | Keeping up the the Wah-dashians

This week on oval ball the boys have to play catch up because their was a round ball for the Tuesday Show!

Sh*t tonnes has happened in the NRL world over the last week! Count it out! A full round of footy. Transfer news out the a**. AND a whole bunch of Tears in Tigertown. From Canberra going all in on Xavier Savage to Adam Doueihi telling Coach Kimmorley to drop him, where do we start?! We start like we start every oval ball pod and we break down the team of the week, captained by a 5-try Edrick Lee! Lach and Matt get into a discussion about this possibly being the weakest Team of the Week but you be the judge! We then break into a tied Friday Footy Tip Off where Matty B backed said Knights. Then we bring up Fantasy but it is apparent Matty B doesn't want to talk about it so we digress!

From there, the boys do a deep dive on a jam-packed Yeah/Nah Report. From Reece Walsh tearing up his contract to where we think Luke Brooks might end up after this deal is done, we gets dribbly.  Then we talk big ins and outs for this shortened round which includes Nicho Hynes testing positive to covid and being out but Jayden Brailey making his much anticipated return back after his extensive injury! 2 Brailey's in rugby league? What could be better?

From there, the guys break down all things reviews. Matty was at the homestead this week so wasn't able to watch many games. He said Melbourne storm back against the Manly Bin Chickens. Later, Black Cat Penrith Panthers, led by Api Koroisau, ran over some Sydney Roosters in the final minutes of a wet one. And finally, he also saw some North Queensland Cowboys wrangle up a couple of bucking Brisbane Broncos. Lach filled in the details with all the other games. Not to mention, a heart-warming reunion for the New Zealand Warriors back at Mount Smart Stadium after 1000+ days away. How bloody ripper!

Finally, the lads end with some Previews of the short week where the Storm might slay some Sharks, the Bunnies run riot on some Knights and the Eels... well, who really cares? It's the Eels. All this and more on a jam-packed oval ball!

  • #85 Tuesday Show | Boston Dave and Free Agency madness

This week the boys run riot and chat all things flaring up in the NBA!

Boston Dave comes on and chats the NBA Finals (12:23) and how sad all the Bean Town Boys are now that the title has headed to Golden State. There was a tissue shortage in the mountains and there is a direct correlation!

Then we start to chat all the big signings (17:11) including all the guys who were eligible to their supermaxes like Bradley Beal, Nikola Jokic and Zach Lavine! Not to mention all the rookies in Zion Williamson, Ja Morant and Darius Garland. Who do we all rate as the best signing? On top of that, all the contracts that went underrated! How is Bobby Portis only just getting the same as PJ Tucker? We break that down too!

The three big trades (45:53) we covered were centred around Minnesota and Utah, Boston and Indiana and Atlanta and San Antonio! Gobert, Brogdon and Murray, they are some big fish. We then close on a little NBA Question Time!

Tune in for a good time, and a long time!

  • #84 Thursday Show | Farts and Pre-reviews

Thursday Show. Fourth Show of the week. HO-LY CONTENT!

Content has been king this week and we hope that you are enjoying it all. Today we get into all the normal formalities  of praying and previews but we get a whole lot of dribble going on in between.

The boys deep dive Round 16 of the NRL. Today brings the Manly Bin-Chickens taking on the Melbourne Storm with their prized fullback returning. FFTO is Spoon Bowl 52 with the Newcastle Knights taking on the Gold Coast Titans, yay. Could there be a worse game? We chat Black Cats in Penrith taking on the Sydney Rooster *cough* Penrith 13+ *cough* and then we begin to fall down the rabbit hole.

This is where you will see the boys get dribbly. First, farts. Then, Victor the Inflictor getting investigated upon for *redacted* movements to another NSW Blues member. Finally, NRL nicknames. The boys start to do a deep dive on NRL.com's listed nicknames. They begin to become increasingly disgusted with the lack of flair and photos for some of the boys. Shout out to the North Queensland Cowboys page who have asked their pack questions and gotten a little detail on their page. Dont worry, Scotty Drink, I cannot live without chicken schnitty's either.

If you enjoy this dribbly and just yarning content, please stay and live the journey with us! If not, we will be back Tuesday with our regularly awesome programming. #PraiseBe
