Once a sell-out, always a sell-out. This week the boys sound a little different thanks to The Hills Podcast and Video Room! We were able to secure the bag and sound a little seedier for you! Keep an eye on the team as well.. she be growin'!
The boys start of, as always, breaking down the weekend and all the content we created with the bredren's affiliated with TheCoverAU (Praise be)! Then, Rep Round TOTW (09:42) where only people out of Origin got a shout. Joey Manu skippers the side behind his 404 metre effort for the New Zealand Kiwi's and the Uso's from Samoa, Taylan May, Izack Tago, David Nofoaluma and Josh Schuster make up the bulk of the pack!
The boys then launch straight into Origin Humpings ft. The New South Wales Blues over the Queensland Maroons, 44-12. Cleary can't play footy? Yeah okay. Munster the next King of Origin? We have the Kingslayer in Cleary, the second coming of Andrew Johns. The pack was rolling and we are bricked up for it!
All this and much more greatness, ft. the new Sherpa, on this weeks Tuesday show! See you Thursday for all things previews and shorter round of footy!
Another Bonus pod?
We are out here, nickel and diming! The boys at The Daily Dribble were so great to chat to last time we decided to make a habit of it. We were given the honour of being invited back to their podcast and talk all things NBA Finals, NBL Finals (haha, Jumping Jacks) and both offseasons! Will the Golden State Warriors and/or the Boston Celtics make the Finals again in 2023? Will the Jack Jumpers ... well, no. But they can dream.
The gold lives on in Qudos Bank Arena for the Sydney Kings and we will continue to rub it into our mates faces.
Loved being on here, let's keep it regular! Tune in and let us know how mad you think the boys are with us!
On today's show, the boys break down all things representative football which means it is a quiet place in Penrith.
From Origin to Samoa, the Penrith Panthers are covered on all basis this weekend ... except Dylan Edwards. The boys take a deep dive into the Origin changes for both New South Wales and Queensland and toss out some other names as to who we would've liked to see. Needless to say, in Freddy we trust!
From there, the boys start the break down all things rep round. Do you New Zealand Kiwis have it in their star studded squad to take down the emerging Tonga? Or will Tonga, without experiences halves, be the ones to prevail? Will the Samoan Ferrari, Charlie Staines, be a welcome addition to the Samoan squad or will the Cook Islands put up a fight no-one is going to see coming? And what will come of Papua New Guinea against Fiji. Will there be some emerging stars shining through or will the Kumuls have their way with the Fiji Bati?
Only time will tell but we're here for it. Let's sink beers and dribble, tangents and yarn our way through!
On today's show, we are finally back to double oval ball! With the NBA gone, it is only right to talk oval ball on a Tuesday and a Thursday so strap in!
As always, the lads begin with a (14:39) TOTW wrap up where Valentine Holmes captains the side after stealing all the hearts in Brookvale on Friday night! Big D Mick was not happy with that outcome! We then progress into Friday Footy Tip Off, win and win no surprise, and then finish up with a Fantasy Update (the King lives... spoilies).
Then you will find the (21:18) Yeah/Nah Report. The Dogs are back in town, Origin squads announce and Matto to say with his favourite aquatic animal and not transform into a Dolphin. We discuss the big things going on around the league and give you a littel taste on Origin before our deep dive on the Thursday show (#Sharewith2friends).
Lastly, the boys hit (39:06) the Reviews, where we break down all things Round 15. No Previews in this show, so you will just have to deal with us talking about how the Young Dragons roasted some South Sydney Rabbitohs. Not your style? Okay, well maybe you can tune into us talk about the North Queensland Cowboys snatching souls in Brookvale against the Manly Sea Eagles. Still want more? How about the Penrith Panthers not getting out of third gear against the New Zealand Warriors and then their entire squad being picked up for rep round!
All this and more on the first NRL pod for the week, stay tuned for more. Praise be!
We promise something... we deliver!
The emergency pod is here! The Golden State Warriors have defeated the Boston Celtics in 6 games! Matty B takes his flowers on the game call and throwing our Steph would win Finals MVP on 30/5/5. What can this man not do? Matty B that is, Steph is okay.
The Boston Celtics, lead by Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, took the Warriors to almost the brink and showed some great promise. For a young team that was built from within, they showed a lot of grit under new head coach Ime Udoka. Shout out to them boys who could not get over these modern day San Antonio Spurs in the Warriors!
The Warriors prove the experience beats talent every day of the week. 4x Champion's in their big 3 along with some fantastic bench production and Maple Jordan (Andrew Wiggins) playing a co-Finals MVP role was just enough to get it done. Shout out to dem D-A-W-G-S!
2 NRL shows a week from now one, get ready for some really dribbly content!
On this weeks Thursday podcast, oval ball is all out of whack! Dribble, tangents and yarn, at its finest! #DTY
We shake things up this week and start with the Team of the Week, captained by Josh Addo-Carr after the Bulldogs pumped the Eels. Matt Burton's boot is also featured, do not stress, folks! Our tangents falls into FFTO and fantasy ball, as always. And the KING HAS BEEN DETHRONED! We love to see it!
From there, we get into the Yeah/Nah (16:45) report and break down all things Chinese gooseberry, NZ line-up, Tonga line-up and are Kikau's comments meaning a backflip on his contract?
The boys roll into the Reviews (48:04) from there, after a few technical difficulties, and Matty does his best effort to not talk Cowboys all night. We knew they would win, right? Panthers romped, Manly romped (but still suck) and the Bulldogs don't even get to be talked about after we discuss the Mount Warne-more of Aussie Icons!
To wrap up, we always hit the Previews (1:07:28) and talk 13+ for the Cows, 13+ for Penrith and how everyone else sucks.
Vale Warnie. See you at round ball!
Eyes peeled for a possible extra episode!
Welcome to the long weekend show! Happy Matriarchal Monday where we are filming live and uncensored (as always).
Watch out because we are a little distracted with the oval ball in the background.
On todays round ball, we talk all things NBA Finals (5:17). How goo is Stephen Curry? The Warriors get pounced on in Game 3 where Boston love being in their own beds. BUT! Here come the Wah's! The Warriors have a massive Game 4 behind Steph Curry which has us discussing Curry in his twilight and doing his best LeBron James impression!
Then the boys get a little silly with it and talk who would be Steph's partner in a 2022 version of NBA JAM! Klay? Dray? Wigs? An interesting chat and something we need to keep in the backlog!
The boys lastly cover a little LA Lakers and Anthony Davis not having touched a ball in months (36:12) which is obviously concerning. What worries you more, Anthony Davis not loving basketball or Russell Westbrook still being on this team? Surely a Draft Day trade is going to happen but where? Lastly, the boys cover Kenny Atkinson headed to Charlotte after this Finals run (41:03) and how the young kids in Charlotte need a little guidance!
Praise be onto everyone and all the support they are giving! Keep an eye on our socials for all the exiting things coming up in the not too distant future!
On today's oval ball pod, the boys cover all things rugby league including the depression that is the State of Origin.. but we will get to that.
The boys run an audible today and run with (10:00) Team of the Week and Fantasy early as there isn't much to cover after Scott Drinkwater was wrongfully replaced by Joey Manu.. but Matty "isn't salty".
From there, the boys break down all things (17:54) Reviews and (33:49) Previews! We talk all things Cowboys v Titans and the humping that did occur and how we would fix the Gold Coast Titans if we had the chance. Starting with "laters Holbrook" and a "Give Fifita the ball" game plan! Then they break down all things Josh Addo-Carr's audition over Daniel Tupou, Matt Burton kicking the skin the football and good luck to Dylan Edwards!
Then, all sadness. Origin brings out the blue in Blues after the throbbing that Cameron Munster and the Queensland Maroons gave to the boys. Patrick Carrigan, Reuben Cotter and Selwyn Cobbo all stood up in their opening game and thats just the beginning.
All this and more on "F*^k it, Friday"
In today's round ball, we go a little off topic.. but that's where we work the best!
We start every Tuesday show with our weekend breakdown where the boys talk Top Gun: Maverick and their little babies date out. We pay thanks to those who are loyal to the soil and tease a little merch drop!
The stuff you care about comes next. The boys cover the NBA Finals (14:23) Games 1 and 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics. They break down game 1, the Al Horford and Derrick White game, and highlight where the Celtics did everything right. They then progress into game two where Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole decide to just do Warrior things. This series is going to be long and we are all here for it! Predictions occur and fun is had, so tune in for that!
From there, the boys go acapella (40:03) and discuss some Zach Lavine rumours. Will he remain a Bull, will he head to the Knicks, or are the Spurs an option? To get it done, a sign and trade would have to occur but it is interesting to hear the takes on where he might end up an the ramifications that might give to the league.
All this and much more so tune in, sit back and have a giggle with us in the 5th and Dribble ambiance (TM)!
On the Thursday show we are here and we o it for all things oval ball!
The boys start with a little dribble as always and wonder what the world would look like if you decided everything on having the biggest biceps. Then we get into the nitty-gritty stuff! The Yeah/Nah Report (11:44) kicks of some fiery discussion about Ryan Matterson to the Dolphins and Payne Haas contract negotiation stalls. The boys then take a deep dive into Origin and break down the NSW Blues and QLD Maroons 22-man squads!
After much discussion, and unnecessary hatred toward Jeremiah Nanai, the boys move onto their 3 favourite segments (42:48) of the Team of the Week, Fantasy Update and Friday Footy Tip Off. Matty B reminisces about what was and has a moment for his North Queensland Cowboys who were wrongly done in at BlueBet Stadium by Lach's Penrith Panthers. The king suffers another wound in fantasy and the top of the table is getting pretty sharp and pointy!
The Reviews (46:46) do not get a lot of air time except for one of the greatest try celebrations of all time coinciding with one of the greatest bed-shit's of all time. Yes, of course we are talking Gold Coast Titans versus the Brisbane Broncos as Justin Holbrook finds himself in the hottest water he ever has! From there, there is a little Preview talk (58:24) but not a lot to cover as it is the BYE week!
Origin is among us and boy it feels good!
