  • #72 Tuesday Show | Round Bovril

On today's round ball we are talking non-stop NBA Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals!

The boys break down massive Game's 6 & 7 from the Boston Celtics versus the Miami Heat (11:14)! Did Jimmy Butler solidify himself as a top 15 player in the league with his top 1 performance? 82 points in 2 games and they still couldn't get it done! Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown are you Finals bound big three but is that a big three to get excited about?

The boys break down key match-ups (24:10) between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics. Is it alarming to see that 6 of the 7 major statistics are in favour of the Golden State Warriors? But you cannot count out these Celtics! Tune in to hear how we rate this series and our predictions on this week's round ball!

  • #71 Thursday Show | Goo Goo Dolls

On today's oval ball, the boys are back!

Never fret, the weekend recap is here and you will hear all that happened on the boat and at the bucks! We stumbled home and got a little sick in the making but.. we are here!

Schedule is the same and we break down the Yeah/Nah Report (24:02) where we chat Dolphins, Fergalicious and the growth of the Broncos! From there, the boys move into (31:34) the Team of the Week, Fantasy updates (the king was stabbed!) and the Friday Footy Tip Off. Keep an eye out this FFTO as we will be at the game. Panthers versus Cowboys!

Next, (36:33) Reviews of the round that was and the pumpings that occured. What is going on with Kalyn and the Pongettes in Newcastle? Are the Brisbane Broncos the real deal? Do Jahrome Hughes and Ryan Papenhuyzen make up a 30-point deficit to the North Queensland Cowboys? (We all know what Matty B thinks!) Have the Canberra Raiders finally turned it around or do the South Sydney Rabbitohs just kinda... suck?

After much debate, attention is drawn to (54:37) the Previews of Round 12 and the test for both clubs in the early Friday game, Penrith versus North Queensland! We will be on the hill so come say hi!

All this and much more on the Thursday pod!

  • #70 Tuesday Show | Sick Solo Shorties

I know, I know.. we said no show but here we are!

Matty B couldn't resist and had to talk about the Warriors and Mavericks going out it in the West! Contributions from top to bottom for the Warriors has them a head, neck and shoulders in front of the Mavericks. Even Luka Doncic and his brilliance cannot save them right now it seems!

However, out in the East, we have a B-A-T-T-L-E! Miami throws a punch and Boston counters. The Heat and Celtics are going hard for each other's throats and defence is the order for every day. Miami sets a franchise postseason high of 19 steals and Boston still almost gets the win.. how does that even happen?

All this is spoken about and more, including the Magic Johnson and Larry Bird MVP favourites, on this short round ball pod!

  • #69 Thursday Show | Nazis and Redactions

On today's show, shit get's a little wild and out of hand. AKA, how we work best!

We begin with acknowledging it is Episode 69 (nice) and with the Yeah/Nah Report (9:30). This is where we hit on all things Canterbury Bulldogs, Trent Barrett and the young pups seeking refuge at other clubs. After talks about journo's in bushes, Paul Vaughn being the arbiter for all things moral and ethical, we walk down WWII lane ... yeah, I know. Secondly, we touch (28:19) on all things Team of the Week and FFTO whilst we ramp up to hit the Review of Round El Magic.

Magical reviews come (35:50) which results in us talking about the Brisbane Broncos ambush on the Manly Sea Eagles. Is Adam Reynolds becoming the ultimate question mark for NSW Origin? We break down all things in a Penrith Panthers dominant 30 point win over the Melbourne Storm that left a sour taste in Lach's mouth. Then we cover the Murray Taulugi try that stopped the hearts of many NRL fans, in Cowboys/Tigers! Ooft.

Finally, we move (1:07:31) onto the Previews for Round 11 and break down a massive Super Saturday that will involve a clash between 2 v 3 and 1 v 4. Should be another great weekend of football!

Tune in this week for some of the most outlandish dribble you've heard. Praise be!

  • #68 Tuesday Show | Round Ball Pod

In today's round ball show we cover the ending of the Conference Semi's between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns as well as the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks!

Luka backed up all his talk and we discuss everything  in the Dallas and Phoenix series. From Devin Booker's and Chris Paul's pitfalls to the growth of Luka Doncic and the trade pieces of the season, Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans, we deep dive on how Dallas can continue to grow. That rolls into  our Western Conference Finals predictions between the Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry is going to be amazing but can Luka Doncic match it?

Moving East we break down the Eastern Conference Semi's where the Celtics out Bucks'd the Bucks and drained their soul from their 3 point misses. Giannis is going to cop some flack but 25 points, 20 rebounds and 9 assists in an elimination game is unreal! We follow on to talk about  the Miami Heat being an under the radar team but the prospects of a 7 game series!

So much and more in this shorter pod!

  • #66 "Thursday Show" | Rugby League Guru and Outlandish Bets

First of all, UP THE KINGS NAD CONGRATS TOT HE NBL CHAMPS!

On a late oval ball pod, we are fortunate enough to have on the one and only Rugby League Guru for some awesome insight and great shit talk!

We run an audible this week and cancel the 'Yeah Nah Report' for a little game of 'Back to the Future' (2:56) where we talk all things we covered last time with the Guru. These include: Matt Burton to the Dogs and how that experiment is panning out; Ryan Papenhuyzen being injured and how Bellamy gets his troops to lift in times of adversity; and the injection of older talent at the Brisbane Broncos. We cannot help but draw parallels to the end of last year and discuss the flatness of time and the Earth.

We then (21:03) move onto Team Of The Week (TOTW) and FFTO (Friday Footy Tip Off) updates where the Guru has a few choice words to say about Mick's choice of Saab in the second round...but don't we all? After a lot of head scratching, (38:01) we make our way to the Review section of the show where Lachlan tries to convince us that the Penrith Panthers had the rare pre-origin bye this week and did not in fact lose. After sifting through the books, it comes out that the game of the round was a tough one to swallow, but not as tough as the New Zealand Warriors getting punished with more men on the field the entire game!

We zoom out of the reviews and into (46:28) Magic Round! The Guru has some choice words for the Waa's vs South Sydney Rabbitohs and completely cuts down on Matty's big bet but offers a little insight of his own so a multi everyone should be looking out for! We talk mainly how cut up the pitch is going to be and how bricked we all are for Melbourne v Penrith!

Lastly (1:06:45) the Guru is gracious enough to stick around for his own little version of Question Time thanks to all of that fans who wrote in! There is a lot to unpack this week but looking forward to each and every one of you joining us on this magic carpet ride!

  • #65 Tuesday Show | Iron Chef and Squeaky chairs

On todays round ball pod, we are live and unplugged again! If you hear squeaky chairs, we are looking into some more noise cancelling so please bare with us during this time of learning how to podcast with each other.

Otherwise, today is a fun one covering everything from Iron Chef to NBA Playoff Basketball! The boys start off (16:28) by covering the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns series. Main talking points included how amazing Luka Doncic is and how Chris Paul needs to stay in games! From there we move onto (24:04) the Miami Heat versus the Philadelphia 76ers! Here we welcome back the league MVP, Joel Embiid, into the series and discuss the prospects of Jimmy butler making the Hall of Fame?

Later (30:00) we get onto the injury series in Golden State Warriors versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Was Jordan Poole's knee twist on Ja Morant intentional? Will Ja Morant be back for Game 4 or stay listed as out? Is this series over and Warriors in 5? And finally we chat a little (38:39) on the Boston Celtics versus the Milwaukee Bucks in the final Eastern Conference battle! Giannis is playing out of his mind without Middleton and seemingly so is Al Horford without Jayson Tatum. Will the Celtics take over if Tatum can have a reliable jumper? All that an much more is covered in this round ball pod!

Lastly (43:56), for old times sake, we have brought back QUESTION TIME! Thank you to all of those great people who sent in questions regarding the NBA and NRL! We got to as many as we could including predicting NBA Champions 2 years into the future in 2023/24 and the age old question "Is a hotdog a sandwich?". All this and more on the round ball pod!
