    About Dr. Jordin Wiggins:
Dr. Jordin Wiggins is a Naturopathic Doctor, author, and Intimacy Strategist for high-functioning women who are successful on paper but silently suffering in their relationships, bodies, and sex lives. Blending 13+ years of clinical experience with deep study in tantra, somatics, and power dynamics, Dr. Wiggins helps women heal the root causes of burnout, numbness, and anhedonia—including the hidden impact of coercive control. As a survivor of sexual and psychological abuse, she brings both precision and lived truth to her work. Her mission is to reverse the silent epidemic of sexual disconnection—because great sex is just the beginning. When women learn to receive, everything changes: intimacy deepens, health improves, wealth expands, and the nervous system finally exhales. She is the host of The Pleasure Principles podcast and author of The Pink Canary, the book that named what medicine has long ignored: that pleasure is the check-engine light of women’s health.

  • Episode 91: Why You Can't Fix Painful Sex By Having Painful Sex

In Episode 91 of the Not Your Mother's Pelvic Floor Podcast, Aliya explains why simply having more painful sex can't fix painful sex.

Inspired by a question sent in by a community member on Instagram, Aliya dives deep into why the advice or belief that just "doing it more" will one day result in pain-free sex. She also explains reasons why we may have painful sex (or dyspareunia) and suggests some ways to start to move forward on a journey towards pain-free (and pleasurable) sex.

Aliya mentioned how her online pelvic floor program called THE PELVIC FLOOR MOBILITY PROGRAM can help you in your journey to pain-free sex.  This is an online movement based program filled with follow along pelvic floor exercise videos designed by Aliya, a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and based on the exact exercises she teaches her patients. To date, this program has helped hundreds of women fix their pelvic floor problems through a whole-body approach that includes breath work, stretching, mobility, pelvic floor + core strengthening, and stress reduction. Learn more about it HERE! *Use the code PODCAST for 10% off*

She also mentioned her favourite Canadian vaginal moisturizer and lubricant brand, IRIS. You can shop their products here and use the code ALIYA10 to save money.

  • Episode 88: Talking About Perimenopause with Michelle + Mikelle, Co-Founders of This Is Perimenopause

In Episode 88 of the Not Your Mother's Pelvic Floor podcast, Aliya chats with the co-founders of This Is Perimenopause, Michelle Stainton + Mikelle Ethier.

In this episode, you'll hear Michelle, Mikelle, and Aliya chat about:

    • Whether Michelle + Mikelle want their mother's pelvic floor...or not!
    • Where Michelle + Mikelle learned about sex and the role that Catholic guilt and fear played in sex education at home.
    • How Michelle + Mikelle are talking about bodies, sex, periods, and more with their children.
    • The memories Michelle + Mikelle have of their mothers going through the menopause transition.
    • How terrifying perimenopausal mood changes can be, including Aliya's recent experience with high levels of anxiety, Michelle's intense rage, and Mikelle's decreased stress tolerance.
    • How the "This Is Perimenopause" resource hub and community was created.

About Michelle Stainton + Mikelle Ethier:

Michelle Stainton is an entrepreneur, customer service enthusiast. After years in marketing and communications across virtually every sector imaginable, life threw Michelle a curveball... perimenopause. She was blindsided. The lack of information was shocking, and the support practically non-existent. While commiserating with her bestie, Mikelle Ethier, they decided to do something about this and This Is Perimenopause was born.

Mikelle Ethier is a recovering banker with a passion for shaking up the status quo.
Her own journey through perimenopause, now 9-years-and-counting, is what drives her everyday to work toward a world where every person with ovaries is informed, empowered, and heard.

Together, Michelle + Mikelle are creating the community and resource hub they desperately wished for when perimenopause turned their lives upside down. A place where straightforward information meets practical advice. This Is Perimenopause isn’t just about hot flashes and irregular periods. It’s about all the stuff we face during this stage of life. Because it’s impossible to tell where perimenopause ends and everyday life begins.
