With our one member of cinema and culture abroad, the NovaCast has decided to share with everyone our newest mission: creating and casting the Very Real Netflix adaptation of Digimon! How will Sloane and Thom manage to make such a storied franchise translate well to the (figurative) silver screen? Will they secure the bag having to play by Netflix's rules? Or will their demands for standards be their downfall in the quest for crafting something shining out of a train wreck?

Digimon Frontier Episodes 32 - 33. Contentious Digi-opinions abound as the gang covers what may be the best episodes of Frontier yet! The Chuckleheads finally receive their second worthwhile member as Koichi joins the team and regales us with a stirring backstory and top-tier attack names. Meanwhile, the Big Bad FINALLY makes his move! All this plus some extremely cursed Netflix live-action Digimon fancasting makes this one of the NovaCast’s spiciest episodes yet—and one you certainly won’t want to miss!

Digimon Frontier 30 - 31. While chasing down Duskmon, the NovaCast crew finally comes across Frontier's biggest plot hole. All will be revealed in this epic episode: deep, dark secrets about the Other Koji, Cherubimon's evil and way-too-creepy plans, cool birds, and THE dub insert song of all time! Also on the docket: more news about the not-so-elusive Digimon Survive as it creeps closer and closer to the fabled day of release. Oh, and Tommy, JP, and Zoe briefly consider murdering a train.

Digimon Frontier Episodes 27 - 29. This week we’re saying “so long” to Sakkakumon, and hello to the beginning of the end of Zoe, JP and Tommy’s usefulness as the first major arc comes to a close. We talk hybrid forms, the magnificence of Mercurymon, and... surprisingly competent episodes? With passable attempts at characterization? Anything is possible when you're with egg!

Digimon Frontier Episodes 20 - 21. The final member of the Goon Squad is up to bat, and the NovaCast gets their popcorn ready to see the chuckleheads get summarily thrashed yet again! Tongue twisters help hold back the pain of a beloved henchman, but can those help keep the pain of flubbed attempts at characterization at bay? Or will we take a page from this season's gogglehead and board a train on out of here? The answer may shock you!

Digimon Frontier Episodes 17 - 19. With the dreaded beach episode finally behind us, the NovaCast is back for a day at the races! Featuring some suspiciously-named grand prizes, incredible achievements in voice acting, Tommy's gamer bloodlust, and the tersest food classification discussions you can imagine, these episodes are wacky in all the right ways.   

Additionally: Big content warning for a lot of food discussion in Episode 19. If you are uncomfortable with talk of this nature, we suggest that you skip the third episode of this batch, as the subject is so integral to the plot that it’s impossible to cover without mentioning it.
