Tips for haring the Gospel during Christmas time:

Ask questions! 

· What does Christmas mean to you? 

· What do you believe is the true meaning of Christmas? 

· Many people celebrate the birth of Jesus during Christmas time. Do you think the birth of Jesus has anything to do with Christmas? 

· Do you know why people celebrate the birth of Jesus? 

· Are you familiar with the Bible story of Jesus birth? 

· Can I read you a very short portion of the birth story and get your opinion of it? I believe the story reveals a very good reason to celebrate. 

· Read Matthew 1:18-21 (it’s roughly 4 sentences) 

· What do you think/feel about what I just read? 

· According to the Bible (what we just read), why did Jesus come? (Read v21 again if necessary). “To save His people from their sins.” 

· What do you think it means to be “saved from our sins?” 

· How would you define sin? 

· Why do we need to be saved from our sins?

This week on The Now Life Shawn and Sam take some time to discuss the importance of understanding the decision that is being made when someone is placing their faith in Jesus. In evangelism training they use an illustration named “The Call” to help people understand that forgiveness is just the beginning of a relationship with God and that Jesus is calling everyone to follow Him. Being forgiven is just the beginning. Jesus is calling everyone to follow him. He is Lord and that means He is in charge.  He desires a relationship with us now. Jesus came so we can have a life filled with hope, meaning, and purpose. As we walk in relationship with God and follow Jesus as Lord, He will transform us to be more like Him. He gives us a new heart, a new spirit, and a new love for people. He teaches us everything we need to know. This life begins now by placing your faith in Jesus. Are you ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

Wow!  This is a great discussion!  We have Joe Diaz in the studio with Sam and Shawn.  Joe put his faith in Jesus as a child and has now been really following the Lord for the last 5 months.  God has really been working in his life!  Listen in and hear how God will transform you and use you if you will follow Him and do what He says.

Welcome back to The Now Life! We have Sam Washington in the studio with us. Shawn and Sam take some time to discuss the importance of understanding the cost of discipleship. Jesus has called us to follow Him. He says that we must deny ourselves and take up our cross. He calls us to a new way of living.  He says, “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it” (Mark 8:35). As we follow Jesus, we learn that He desires us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. He wants us to obey Him. He expects to be number one in our life. Until we fall in love with Jesus and follow Him the way He calls us to we will miss out on the abundant life He came to give.
