Thanks for joining me on this special edition of The Obscure Curio. I haven't done a solo episode in a while and, surprisingly, I've had some request to do one. Since I'll be sober for three years on March 22nd, I thought now would be a good time to tell my own personal story of addiction and recovery. I get a lot of questions, comments, and discussions coming up about why I say the things I do about drugs, addiction, and things of the like. It is my hope that by hearing exactly what I have experienced with addiction, recovery, and the criminal justice system might serve to inform any curious parties on this matter. I realize that not all of our listeners know me personally and that to say some things without context may come across as confusing at best or ignorant at worst. So if you know me, thank you for the support and maybe you will know me a little better after this. If you don't, I hope this will make us closer. I am very candid about my own life experience so I will give you a fair warning; this episode speaks openly about the use of drugs. If that is something you cannot handle hearing at this point, I don't recommend listening to it. Even if you have no interest in me as a person, perhaps this episode can help you understand somethings about addiction and recovery you may be interested in. As always, I thank everyone for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the show!
