This week on The Obsessed Podcast, we are finally reviewing, and going through (room by room), Mariah's ICONIC MTV Cribs episode!

If you were a 90's baby, then you lived through the iconic trash TV era on MTV. If not, Cribs was an iconic television show on MTV in the early 2000's, which featured celebrity house tours (think lifestyles of the rich and famous), where your favorite celebrity would take you through their home and show off all of their expensive things.

Obviously, Mariah filmed MTV's second most popular episode of cribs (after Redman's) with a tour of her tri-level, penthouse apartment. We breakdown all of the iconic moments, like: The nocturnal fish, her infamous bathtub scene, the StairMaster workout in four inch stilettos and many more!

For this week's episode on The Obsessed Podcast, we are doing a little bit of a catch-up episode on what's been happening with Mariah the past couple of weeks! Mariah has been out and about more than we've seen since Christmas - unofficially ending her quarantine era! So you know we gotta break down all these moments and looks!

First off, we of course discuss The Songwriters Hall Of Fame ceremony, and congratulate Mariah for FINALLY being inducted after two years of Covid postponements.

Seondly, did Mariah actually share Ghia's reel on her Instagram account?! Why yes she did! Ghia breaks down her first social media moment that she's (finally) had with Mariah!

Next, we've gotten a few new streaming releases! One being an Always Be My Baby remix from a Harlem based artist, Austin Millz. Secondly, we have finally gotten Runway on all streaming platforms all around the world - pushing the Caution album over the 40 minute duration!

We then discuss a few of Mariah's surprise appearances, at three different events: The BET Awards where Mariah decided to snatch all of our wigs with an unannounced, hot tamale performance of the Big Energy Remix with Latto. We also discuss Mariah (and Tiffany Haddish) presenting Floyd Mayweather with an award at the Hollywood Unlock Pioneer Awards. Lastly we discuss Mariah hosting a private screening for Billy Eichner's new movie, "Bros".

This week on The Obsessed Podcast, we discuss the iconic and infamous performances from Mariah Carey on New Years Eve. 

These performances are somewhat like a Hollywood movie, including: Sucess, drama and finishing with a happy ending, redemption arch. The first performance was from 2005, and is legendary because it was the first time an artist had performed in Times Square for NYE in 34 years. It also comes off the successful year that was 2005 for, Mariah Carey. The second performance is the most known (and infamous) performance in, Mariah's career. Was it sabotaged? Was is a lack of preparation? Or was it a mix of both? Lastly, we wrap up the episode with a redemption arch , Mariah's performance in 2017. 

This performance spawned a lot of amazing memes, and showed Mariah's courage to push forward through all of the negative press from her 2016 NYE debacle. Which NYE performance is your favorite, and what are your thoughts on her 2016 performance?

In this week's episode on The Obsessed Podcast, we discuss the songs that we allegedly believe are about Mariah's "so called love of her life", Derek Jeter. The Derek Jeter collection is quite simply, Mariah's best material and some of the lambily's favorite songs.

Of course we all know that, My All and, The Roof are about Derek, however, we go through Mariah's entire catalog (from the Butterfly album, all the way through the E=MC² album) and speculate over a dozen different songs that we believe were written about Derek Jeter.

In this week’s episode on The Obsessed Podcast, we finally get out all of our feelings attached to Jennifer Lopez - exposing "her" and the bulk of the songs/vocals that she has allegedly stolen from talented black artists throughout her entire career.

We feel like it's our responsibility as lambs to bring these instances to light for the general public, because we wholeheartedly belive that JLO deserves to be called out. However, she has somehow dodged a cancel/accountability moment throughout her career for some reason or another. We're not hating - we're crying out for accountability, and we're just spilling factual tea. Buckle up Jlovers, the tea is scalding hot.
