On this episode I learn that Lightning Bolt is not and has not been a part of Standard since the 90s. We then review the cycle of Dragon Auras from Scourge, which is a cycle of creature enchantments that I might actually play with. Finally, we discuss a couple happenings in the market, I try to convince the young folk to buy an S&P500 index fund instead of going all in on a Bubble Matrix spec and we add a few more cardboard rectangles to our first ever old-frame Commander decks. We start off this episode of The Old Men Magic Podcast slack-jawed and dumbfounded as we realize that an enter the battlefield creature we featured in episode 29 is not even an enter the battlefield creature. Nevertheless, we soldiered on to bring you a banger of an episode where fellow YouTuber Tong Zou explains to us how to turn 1 kill your opponent with Phyrexian Marauder (plus a few modern cards), we learn about the origins of The Rock, as constructed by Jelger Wiegersma, and I start to build the mana base for my first ever cEDH (casual EDH.
